About Ehkahk, the 4E book The Plane Below: Secrets of the Elemental Chaos features him as a Level 25 monster, a massive upgrade from the original description of not being much stronger than a normal smoke mephit. His abilities include a suffocating aura that nullifies healing, a blinding ranged attack that deals fire and poison damage, summoning four attack dogs made of smoke, and a smoke bomb-like effect that lets him and allies teleport within the smoke cloud. He's also said to perhaps be the child or fragment of a primordial and has seemingly been slain multiple times just to reappear back at his palace.

IRON MAN ARMORED ADVENTURE!! Hell yea, I grew up with that. Used to air all the time on ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation). A lot of animated TV shows were joint Australian-Canadian productions back in the day, but many are hard to come by now due to lack of physical media releases

I remember while listening to this on spotify you guys said it was unfortunate there wasn't much in some of these elemental planes creature-wise so I'll say remind everyone that animentals exist. You know how humanoid souls pass through the elemental planes to get to the afterlife and some just kinda get lost l, which is how we get genies? Well animentals are that for animals. Just pick an animal, any animal, and add the element(s) of choice to their statblock. Boom, new encounter. You could even make it more interesting by having one gain sentience/power on the level of a genie.

The greatest traveler of elemental plane of smoke is Sir Snoop of the order of Dog so in tune with the plane was he that he could breath out smoke elementals at will he was also well known for his bardic lyrics many of which where about the elemental smoke as well.

I'm really loving the show, but looking at all the official material lined up, it really feels like the elemental planes are lacking in substance. Like... smoke? Really? That gets its own plane? And it's just full of smoke monsters? Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather have the base four elements have their planes, and more substantial content packed in there, than having 12+ planes that are just "there's a place for every conceivable twist of 'element' we can think of. Each one has monsters made of that thing, and not much else"
