I really want to see the Americas league split into 2 regions with North and South American. Brazil specifically, and Latin America generally are too good to be handicapped into having worse t2 domestic scrimmages, and forcing all none NA players into living in a foreign country a continent away from their families. I can understand why riot went with this idea initially, not really knowing how popular LATAM val was going to be, and making it so that each league has a large talent pool for teams to pull from (each region represents a billion or more people). But at this point I think it’s clear that having such a large region is only hurting the players that come from the extremities most of whom are going to be from LATAM

Bren, pls listen to the EG comms from Masters/Champs Ethan is an extremely positive voice, him and Boostio together are usually the ones keeping everyone's heads up in that run and keeping them focused. Demon1 is also a great teammate, clearly thinks about the game on a deeper level than people give him credit for and really trusts his teammates. Which is why he plays the Astra and Brim as well as the duelists. I think it basically comes down to Victor and whether he can pop off as hard as Jawgemo in the matches where they need it - Crashies and Marved are also usually focused, team orientated players and I can't see them mental booming.

before i say anything else, Demon1 def deserves the nomination of "rookie of the year" and is easily a top 5 player this year, outstanding performance and fragging. however based on sheer performances & results alone, he's not deserving of it. Probably should go to Leo or Alfajer, or even players like Jinggg/Less/Aspas/Something (although probably not due to getting second, and not first, when it really mattered.) NA voters + recency bias probably gave Demon1 half of his vote share, which happens i guess though.

Not predicting that NRG will explode or anything but we gotta admit that Mr Hook has a point. NRG was always the "serious team" who play with a bit of a cocky attitude and Demon1 and Ethan fall in this category as well. They dont have a lighthearted/funny/chill guy on the team (like a Boaster or Jamppi) who can pick them up mid-game when things go badly and cheer them up. Again, this doesnt mean that they wont be successful it just means that they could be more susceptible to tilting

It honestly made 0 sense to me when they announced the VCT leagues that NA would have to merge with LATAM and BR. It just didnt make sense for any of the three regions. It kills t1 talent production in LATAM and BR by making them unable to scrim against t1 talent for the majority of the year, and limited NA in the sense that it had the talent to have 10 salaried teams by itself. There's so much t2 talent rotting away or being used as imports for other regions because there isnt enough slots in t1 currently.

Fnatic were elite and incredibly consistent all year whereas EG were getting 13-0’d at one point. Sure the EG development story is wonderful, but fundamentally speaking you’re comparing EG who went 9th-16th, 2nd, 1st….to Fnatic who went 1st, 1st, 4th. There’s just no comparison here I’m afraid.
