When the twilight is gone
And no songbirds are singing
When the twilight is gone
You come into my heart
And here in my heart you will stay
While I pray
My prayer is to linger with you
At the end of the day
In a dream that's divine
My prayer is a rapture in blue
With the world far away
And your lips close to mine
Tonight, while our hearts are aglow
Oh, tell me the words
That I'm longing to know
My prayer and the answer you give
May they still be the same
For as long as we live
That you'll always be there
At the end of my prayer

My husband and I shared this song when it was released. Now my husband has gone, but in my heart, I still share it with him. 'That he'll always be there, at the end of my prayer'.

When I married my husband in 1987, our wedding dance was to this song. This was one of my late dad's favorite songs. So we danced to this (and to the whole album) in his honor.. I sure did miss you on that day, Daddy... Rest in Peace, I Love You Always, Your Little Girl

I called the Radio Station and requested My Prayer to be played and then called my girl friend and told her to turn on the radio to the station that I called. When I got to her house I asked her to marry me and she said yes. That was 27 years ago and I still love her and this song.

I heard this song in Buenos Aires when I was a child. It made me cry. I did not know English back then. But at my older sister's wedding wedding I saw the bride and the groom dance it. Little did I know that the "punch" I was drinking was Sangría and I ended up under the table covered by the long white table cloth on top. My head was spinning and dancing in awe

As you can see in half the comments, there's this weird strong emotional effect when you hear 50's music with dark visuals. It's used in many movies and video games. Not sure how that works.

I was born at the end of October 1961. I am one of those type of people that songs just pop into my head for absolutely no reason. I have not heard it on a television show I don't listen to the radio anymore at one point somebody must have sang it to me many years ago cuz I see that it was released in 1956. Like I said it just popped into my head I copied down the lyrics and forwarded them to the person that I believe introduced me to it. I'm pretty sure as I have an amazing long-term memory can't say the same for my short term. Yes we all know that today's music sucks. Babble rap, music that you can't even understand what these guys are saying. I don't see the attraction, When rap music first came out it was gangster rap and I actually got into it for a brief period of time and then I fell out with it. I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did I don't think it's that good at all I don't think it's music.

I think this episode is the key point that changes course of all precluding series. It proves, in a weird way, neither Bob nor Laura's father are the killers. It's older. Very Lovecraftian, I dare say.
