Keep your cool because you’re actually stronger than them. If you’re worried about your children, find a peaceful way to keep in touch with them. Even if it doesn’t work because your children are still young, don’t worry, no human forgets his/her first 9 months in mummy’s womb, especially if mummy is trying to be in touch. Mercy and Regina my sister's i have no words to explain my feelings on this movie, it's a gem filled with lots of lessons, as the son of a mother who suffered domestic abuse while growing up, I promise myself never to make any woman suffer at my hands and thank God i found a wife who understands me and talks me through my bad days when i remembers my growing up days, now i have 3 children and i advise my son when he grows up treat his woman/wife the way he see's me treating his mother like a queen, i also tell my girls the same thing if a man loves you and raise his hand at you, he doesn't love or respect you, i love this movie so much, you guys made me emotional, because too much sister's suffer abuse and keeps it a secret. cast and crew good work this is an award winner right here.

Great message to every woman out there. I was a victim, and I walked out with my three children after receiving several threats, but today, I feel honored that other women can do it without fear. I love you, Mercy and Regina, for this beautiful movie, though it's a true story.

What your children see you do speak volumes over what they hear you say any day. It was evident that Mercy loved her daughter dearly but she unfortunately failed to set the example she should have in not tolerating physical or emotional abuse. Mercy was taught by her mom that husband is king and so she sent mixed messages to Regina asking if she was being abused and saying that she did not want that for Regina but Regina learned how to tolerate abuse and suffer in silence by watching Mercy do the same. When Regina tried to stand up for herself Mercy condoned Regina's husband controlling ways. This was all learned behavior and was not easy to undue. So Regina just stayed in the abuse which came natural to her. The one thing she knew for sure was if he hits you once he will hit you again and again. The Plea was a really sad, emotional story and cautionary tale that you can't ignore, wish away , or sweep domestic violence under the rug bc the end of this story will be the end result more times than not . Respect Excellent film as always Mrs. Mercy 🌹🌹🌹

You just wrote everything in my mind. Bravo, well said. I was once in this kind of this controlled, manipulative and abusive relationship but am also big headed, stubborn , prayfull and strong willed woman, I walked before it was too late. I understand, it is hard to immediately walk away after the first hit but I tolerated the abuse for a year but when I looked at my children, I had to make a decision. Otherwise I was just a miserable mother trying to raise children with a chartered heart. The liberation I felt after leaving was one of the best feeling I ever felt and I never regreted the decision. I took care of those children with God at my side and today they are young lovely adults. Please if you are going through this, pray, gather courage from God, he will never forsake or leave you alone.

Nice and emotional movie. I literally cried all through the movie. A big lesson. African mothers always give excuses for their abusive partners, and that's why they keep doing it. It's high time they stop making excuses for abusive partners. This is a touching story.

It takes a lot to walk away from domestic violence. Prayer and self value made me take the first step out of that door. I left everything behind, just got my clothes and my kids and went with God. Its been 7 years now, and we are blessed to have each other they kids and I, including God, in our lives.
