@@TheLoliczechnah not really, the whole point was to get him worn out and less conscious of his surroundings so he would be caught off guard by seeing “Geto”and by the cursed object without immediately putting distance between him and prison realm. The vicinity is why they needed the plan, if there wasn’t a limit on vicinity he could’ve just walked up. He needed him to freeze and get lost in thought pretty much and he couldn’t have done that if Gojo was still composed.

it wouldn't have worked because he would have far to composed and wouldn't have been caught off guard at all. forcing Gojo into the position of killing all of those transfigured humans and getting him worked up is what Brain-kun needed to further distract his brain so the moments he took to take those deep breaths allowed Brain-kun to get the box into position so when Gojo got out of his daze he'd notice the box and thus giving Brain-kun the advantage he needed to call out to Gojo before he moved away.. Something that wouldn't have worked if he just walked up and threw the box down and said "hey". Another thing is that Gojo's brain works far quicker then a normal brain and his eyes are so powerful that he'd figure it out instantly if he was composed.@@TheLoliczech

If he's composed even if Geto is in front of him he will realize this is a trap and will use blue to GTFO of the prison's range.

For context, even though they mentioned one minute in gojo's mind, gojo himself relived 3 years worth of memories. That's why he was almost instantly sealed.

Yes, you guys caught that detail. Gojo was also testing if That Entity remember who hurt Geto's body before Gojo finished Geto. He wanted to know for sure if THAT THING has access to Geto's memory or if that thing only gathered sufficient background info of Geto to confuse Gojo. I must say Gojo is lightning quick in processing info. Some details that are not explained clear enough in the anime: 1. 20mins Not-Geto told the special grades to fight Gojo for 20mins to tire him out. Truth is, the 20mins is assumed. 2. 0.2sec domain expansion Gojo had not attempted 0.2 sec domain expansion before, he basically gambled that that amount of domain exposure would not kill those normal and transfigured people. Then he started to finish off all those transfigured as quick as he can. 3. 1000 kill in 299 sec During that 299 sec, he also gambled that the cursed spirits and Choso would not recover from his domain exposure. (The effectiveness of curse techniques is different across human, spirits, and objects) The longer time he spent killing those transfigured the greater risk for those three to wake up. 4. Prison realm needed 1 min That 1 min is not the real world 1 min, it is 1 min in the target's mind. Not-Geto held this Gojo's best friend body all these time just to surprise Gojo at that moment. He needed Gojo to lose his cool first so that he would actually think if his best friend could be alive for real. Those flashbacks certainly meet the 1 min requirement for the Prison Realm's sealing activation.

For those who are confused why the killed the transfigured instead of the 3 curses: It literally stated in the video that at any moment those 3 curses could wake up from the trance of Gojo's domain so he chose to kill all transfigured to reduce the potential counter attack that may happen. Ref. Ch 89. and the video above 8:56.

to sum up from what I could tell....Gojo activated hid domain for 0.2 seconds to knock everyone out (the longest amount of time he could do without killing civilians), then took 299 seconds to kill 1,000 transfigured humans. In that time, he was likely in the range of the Prison Realm which is why it was able to be activated as soon as Gojo was done with his rampage. Then the curse controlling Geto's dead body used Geto's appearance to make Gojo pause long enough for the prison realm to actually take effect

I don't think the Fake Geto has really explained his motives. All he has done is work with curses who want to bring a world where curses rule (which is the opposite of original Geto's goal which was a world of only jujutsu sorcerers).

the original Geto and Kenjaku (the brain) have motives that are completely different, Kenjaku’s ultimate goal is to evolve cursed energy that is in its human form to something else, For Kenjaku, sorcerers, non-sorcerers and cursed spirits were all possibilities of cursed energy in the human body. Meaning, depending on whether a person has cursed energy, and based on how that cursed energy is utilized, they would either be a sorcerer, non-sorcerer or even a cursed spirit.However, he wanted to see if there was something more that could be achieved. Why only have three possibilities? What would happen if humans and cursed spirits were to merge together. the simplification, he was just want to know, what if....

That brain and Geto don't have the same goal. The brain works with curses to create a world of curses which is completely opposite to what Geto wanted (he wanted a world where curses are not born at all so his friends wouldn't have to go on any missions and die). The brain was even fine with Mechamaru, young and talented sorcerer, being killed. The real Geto would never hurt any sorcerer and more importantly he would never seal his best friend who is really important in jujutsu world

Gojo casted Infinite Void for 0.2 seconds. In that time, everyone's brain was filled with 6 months worth of information and so everybody got stunned unconcious. Gojo used that to kill all the transfigured humans in the next 299 seconds so they cannot kill normal humans while he's fighting Jogo, Mahito and Choso. Atleast that was his plan but then Fake-Geto came in. If you think about it, Geto was kinda like Gojo personality wise. He'd goof around and chill (but not as much as Gojo). The first 5 episodes until Riko's death and JJK0 prove that. Moreover Geto, even though he became a villain, was still a jujutsu sorceror at the end of the day who wanted to rid the world of curses. He would NEVER team up with them even if its against the "strongest". Fake-Getou is way too calm and collected.

Cuz they’re special grade curses, it means that his short length DE of 0.2 seconds was only strong enough to mindfuck civilians and the transfigured humans. The special grade curses could have woken up at any moment if Gojo decided to kill them

This episode proves that a lot of JJK are unobservant people. It's a shame that Gege Akutani puts so much detail in his story, only for ignorant fans to never notice, and therefore get continuously blindsided by things established well in advance. What a shame.
