I have seen a friend of mine who his doing FOH for arena touring bands. He has been posting about it so I had to learn more about it. Thanks for the tutorial with tips on what to watch out for, make the learning curve easier.

Thanks for posting this. I've been avoiding this plugin just because the controls are so mysterious. Even after trying to learn a bit about it, I'm turned off by still not knowing what it's doing. I really like staking two Vertigo VSM's to get different saturation at different bands and to have different saturation between mids and sides. Perhaps I should try a similar thing with The Oven...

Thanks for watching. Yes that’s a great idea. I sometimes use the splitter in Studio One and use two instances of The Oven, one for the mid and one for the side.

How do you use your lcds, I have the same pair, any correction and/or midside / can opener?

Hey dude thank you for watching. I don’t use any software at all. I prefer to learn how my headphones translate naturally. One of the reasons for this is that I do a lot of mobile work and this can involve going to other studios and monitoring through other desks etc. Consequently I don’t want to get used to how my headphones sound wit artificial software. I do use the Phonitor 2 headphone amp though which enables me to quickly reference with their crossfeed matrix or in mono, but I rarely use it and never make critical decisions. I’ve personally never got on with any headphone software and I’ve used them all at some point.

Thx for this review! I am using it with similar settings on the MixBuss, just not to overdo it. Gain compensation would do good for this Plug In, this is the only one issue ;-)

Hey thanks for watching. Yea it’s definitely a flavor that should be applied sparingly if it’s on the mix buss or a master. And I agree, whilst I trust my ears, nowadays, you would expect AutoGain as an option.

@@TheCratesMotel Thank you for your replying! I mean every Aqua plugin's pre button!
@TheCratesMotel Жыл бұрын
@@jin960909 The Pre button turns on their PreAmp emulation. SO you can have the signal clean if you have the Pre turned off, or you can add some flavour with the PreAmp on. Be careful though. Some of their PreAmps can add quite a lot to the sound, especially the Luca Pretolesi plugins.
