I will save my money and wait for the Fabulous, New for 1961 Plymouth. You know the one with those Flashlight-type tail lights and the Lemen Sucken front grill. 🚘

I was 14 years old when these commercials were put on TV and I remember watching every one. Loved that push button trans. and easy power steering. What styling they had. Wow.

These are pretty elaborate commercials. Cars of the 1950s had distinctive styling. Plymouths didn’t look like either Ford or Chevrolet which didn’t look like each other either. Nice job putting all this together. Thanks.

Thanks! Yeah, there is a lot of similar design these days. Back then, you could even identify a car by the sound of its motor.

I was barely an immature follicle deep in my mothers ovary when this add was made, but that didn't stop me from eventually owning a 1959 Plymouth 2-door Suburban Wagon. It had none of the features of the cars in this add. Mine had a flathead 8, three on tree manual transmission, a manual brake system that pushed against 4 drums and manual steering to boot. Steering the beast was like a workout at the gym, and the first time I stepped on those manual brakes I though "Well, I'm never gonna stop." It sure turned heads though. People often followed me into gas stations to check it out. Good Times.!!!

I was 11 years old. when this video was made , and. rode in the front seat as a passenger in the. mid 1960s in. a 1959 Plymouth when I worked as a. Labourer building a new grain. elevator the man I worked with owned the car and we worked together. for a short period. in a northeastern Saskatchewan, Canada. town , I was about 16 years old then. seemed like a very solid car designed by Virgil Exener for the. Chrysler. Corporation. Ltd / have a. good day / Bill. S. Canada
