I really enjoy your style of thru hike videos bc you offer a more compelling story than other hikers who record every single thing they do every single day. I have respect for what other KZbin hikers do but get bored listening to them say, "I woke up, I ate breakfast, I'm walking, I'm sore, I'm still walking, I'm walking, I'm eating, now I'm walking, I see poo on the ground, I'm so tired, this sucks but I'm so happy, walking, walking, the scenery is incredible, more walking, made it to camp, I'm eating, I'm so tired, goodnight" over and over again. I love that you compile footage on trail then edit after you've finished. Your videos do a tremendous job telling a hikers story showcasing the more important aspects of your hike accompanied with humor and moving music. Bravo!! I'm a fan and look forward to seeing more!

Wow! so inspiring that you continued and finished SOLO! Freakin Beast Mode right there! 👏🏻👏🏻 as I watched this series I kept thinking of DMX lyric "if you ever see me in a fight with a grizzly bear, pray for the bear, that beeeep gonna need it." hell ya.

I'm guessing you guys went in late August or sometime in September you guys could have jump the ferry and went to the town on the other side of Waterton Lake to get mosquito repellent especially there by goat haunt is extremely buggy if you do the trail again you should check out the campsite hole-in-the-wall you take a right instead of going left to Bowman Lake give you props for solo hiking PS a little pre-trip planning really pays off

We left July 15ish. I couldn't get over the bugs. I knew it was going to be bad but not that bad.

A.T , PCT OR CDT in your backpacking future?
@dyanacarmella13794 жыл бұрын
To be honest... not really. Don't get me wrong, they are amazing trails. I grew up in backpacking in California. Ive done a lot of the PCT in sections. So I wouldn't want to hike that again. The AT seems gloomy to me. The CDT looks pretty wild. But I have my heart set on the Te Araroa in New Zealand at the end of the year. It will take me about 3-4 months. So currently saving money for that. I want to go international. And I like trails where I don't see anyone. I like to be alone. ha

@@dyanacarmella1379. I love the CDT. Out of the three it's my favorite. Trans Adirondack trail is being called the most toughest trail in the US. Check out the GR-11 Trail..the trails in Europe blows U.S trails away... Check out Atom Packs made in the U.K. Blows hmg, Ula, smd packs out the water . Im currently saving and training for doing the Great Trail in Canada...2yrs 2 months and change on one trail with very little people is drawing me to it.

Not preparing in advance is not only stupid but you are asking for trouble. You are putting other people in jeopardy having to recue you if something happens. This is a not what to do if you go backbacking.

the bugs are exactly why i drifted out of doing this. Hiked all over snoqualmie pass for years getting bit. Always carry a gun....esp way out there
