I just received mine 2 days ago. I haven't had the same problems with the valves, and I paid $81 for it. It's been a wonderful instrument thus far

I can report that Ammoon's electric guitars are much less disappointing - at least there's rarely anything wrong with them that can't be fixed at home with some basic tools and elbow grease, just like you'd expect of a sub-$100 guitar.
@CaptainApathetic2 жыл бұрын
Honestly cheap guitars are a lot better than cheap wind instruments (brass and wood varieties). Generally the quality issues with them can be solved pretty easy, and can be upgraded, and a new guitar needs to be set up anyways. Wind instruments are a whole different beast bc the issues with them are either impossible to fix (cheap metal) or very hard (intonation issues and things like that)

Trent I was wondering: could you do some more horn videos? I play the French horn and cannot find many in-depth videos about cleaning, tone quality (that especially), techniques, and horn buying guides. I can't find too much information about horns and your content is super informative.

It may not be a good instrument, but you made it sound nice in the piece you played. You are clearly a talented multi-instrumentalist who can make anything sound good. I used to have a black lacquered Boosey and Hawkes pocket trumpet at one time but sold it some years ago.

Sounds fine to me. Probably how you play. more than the quality of the horn. nice playing.clean sound. Good definition between notes.

I bought one of these despite the poor review and I love it. It isn't a great trumpet, but for the price I didn't expect it to be. The third valve gives me a bit of trouble occasionally and the third valve tuning slide is pretty much unusable. Notes below middle C also aren't quite in tune. Where this instrument shines though is that you don't need to worry too much about what happens to it. Mine rarely gets put back in its case when at home and I am far more like likely to take it out with me when I go out. If anything happens to my Conn trumpet the repair costs are probably going to be more than the purchase price of this Amoon. I would rather risk the Amoon and buy a new one if anything happens to it.

Man Trent, you just sound better and better on trumpets video-by-video!!! It's really surprising to kind of see you development. I've got a Merano like that, paid about the same.... I've traveled with it, have neeeeever used it - it's just not too great. The tone is surprisingly decent for what it is. The intonation is horrendous (unplayable below a low C- it gets to be almost a half-step flat. Its build quality is no good at all though!!
@richardkelso94785 жыл бұрын
I too got a Merano, had to spend money to get the valves lapped to get a half-way decent action. Still not very good. Will look good on a wall as a decoration. In short, if you are thinking of getting a pocket trumpet, don't. They are not worth the candle.

I am totally chuffed because I finally picked up a trumpet, it cost me £30 and is an old yamaha 2320 1980/90's student model, It has a lovely sound and though looks pitted and not cared for has (after a bloody good clean and lube job) free moving valves and (now) slides. Next job is to find myself a nice inexpensive but good tutor :)

Hey Trent! I recently purchased an F-trigger trombone. called the Cecilio TB-383. It is surprisingly very well made and has a very usable slide with no hangups! Rose brass bell and everything. I haven't washed it out yet, but it is definitely the wisest choice I've made in instruments so far, especially considering it was only $550!
@nicholastrombone98996 жыл бұрын
Just wait a few years the slide is so heavy on their trombones the sound is awful just don't get another
@fortepiano44916 жыл бұрын
On the contrary, I've had another one of their trombones (silver) and while the slide was a bit rough around the edges, it lasted me all throughout high school. Even played a solo on it. I wouldn't get another, but I am glad to have owned it. But this is personal opinion.

Trent I bought a crappy pocket trumpet a very long time ago and the tuning was so horrible, for the longest time I avoided playing it at all because I couldn’t find any tuning slide at all excepting the 1st 2nd and 3rd valve slides, then I watched this video and i saw you just pop out a slide that looked solid on mine, gave it a good tug and sure enough it was a tuning slide. Still a cheap piece of crap but slightly less so now

My family and I don't make a lot of money, but I've been wanting to upgrade my trombone for a while. Specifically, a Bach42BO at the moment. Are there any trustworthy websites or something that sell cheap trombones that are good? Thank you.
@trainliker1004 жыл бұрын
Well, for that price it's a good deal even if just using it for wall art. When prices get this low, it reminds me when the price of a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk drive got down to around 13 dollars. I don't think I could have made money marketing an empty box at that price. Sort of feel that way about this trumpet.
