The US is very strict when it comes to its streaming services. So strict that most of the world cannot access netflix or amazon, as they are blocked. Same for Pandora. We can do it, but via VPN so it is not a direct link nor is it a direct offer from either Netflix or Amazon. It's all "thanks" to some law (Single Market Act, I think) passed in 2013 in the US, limiting all internet services to the US. NetNeutrality was fighting against it but it only worked for the US. They fucked the rest of the world.

Plus there's a few points needed to be understood: 1) it's a budget phone meaning you're already on a tight budget. 2) If you're gonna watch Full HD are you really gonna watch it on your phone? 3) If you watch it in HD would your data suffice ? 4) If you're on a home connection with unlimited internet, wouldn't you rather watch it on the TV, or computer. idk, I don't watch netflix or those other streaming services, but i think it is still a good deal.

I don't watch Netflix, so it's not a problem for me. As long as I'm getting the speed that I need when using Poco F1, it is not a problem. This is the result of Xiaomi, doing something that it can be considered as a threat to all those 1k USD Flagship phones, that you don't have to pay too much, to get the specs like SD 845, Infra Face Recognition, 4k mAh Batt, Liquid cooling tech, etc. They will eventually find every flaws of this device, so that consumers will not be encouraged to buy a 300 USD phone that has the power and the speed of a 1k USD phone

But one can't get the best processor and the best camera at such a low cost . The RAM/STORAGE options available at their respective prices are the best in the market . Screen is good and the face unlock is gr8 . It's very fast and someone can't unlock it with a photo . It's obviously not as secure as the iPhone ones but no-one non-professional can open it without your permission . SideNote - Don't enable it if you don't want someone living in the same house as you to open your phone as it can be unlocked when you sleep 😂🤣

I have an s7 edge and it's also not capable of playing netflix on hd. To be honest, it isn't that bad. 540p on a display size of a phone doesn't really make that much of a difference. Some of you might say that I'm not that used to high resolution videos on phone, but no. I usually relieve my stress by watching 1440p60fps videos on youtube (mostly sample videos by tv manufacturers) using my phone.

Two major issues being reported by people in India related to this phone are 1. Screen bleeding? Can you let us know more about it? Because it can get worse over a period of months of using this phone 2. In a few devices, when transferring files(usually bigger than 1gb)from internal storage to sd card and vice-versa, the device freezes or hangs in between and then it switches off automatically. Also the transfer speed is too poor. Have you observed this issue in your devices? Because if it is, these two issues are real bummers. Please do let us know about these issues.

The price is lower because Xiaomi wanted to make the perfect phone and they did a poll to ask the people which should be removed and what can they add to the smartphone. For example most new phones have Gorilla glass V6 but Pocophone has Gorilla glass V3 which is not that expensive and lowers the price.

The way data plans in Asia work is entirely different than how U.S. cellular companies do it. They sell data by packages, so users have to be very careful with their usage. As such, I imagine this was a good compromise they came to when choosing what certification to get when looking at what market the phone was designed for. Though I did find it kind of odd that they didn't adopt 720p instead as in consumers minds, it might have softened the blow, perceptually at least.

*This phone gave me literally OCD. The roundness of the corners it's excessive it even cuts the own System UI* and when playing videos or games one side of the screen has HUGE round corners and the other side doesn't. Sometimes the edges get cut in a pretty bad shape. I bought this phone because of the specs cause they're pretty good like you and other youtubers pointed out it many times, but *seems you forgot to point that problem.* Maybe you should do an update video...
