@K35H yes, pocophone F1 now when bought new, comes with Widevine L1 out of the box and for the previously sold ones, Widevine L1 arrived with a software update. And another point, 4k at 60fps with superior image stabilization have also arrived, with the same software update.

It'll be on the stable update soon enough or if you don't want to wait, you can enroll yourself for the beta program, there are no bugs in it anyway. And although I don't use Netflix on my phone, I regularly use Amazon Prime and Hulu on my phone and both can be run at Full HD resolution. Btw, the 4k 60fps recording will blow your mind.

The US is very strict when it comes to its streaming services. So strict that most of the world cannot access netflix or amazon, as they are blocked. Same for Pandora. We can do it, but via VPN so it is not a direct link nor is it a direct offer from either Netflix or Amazon. It's all "thanks" to some law (Single Market Act, I think) passed in 2013 in the US, limiting all internet services to the US. NetNeutrality was fighting against it but it only worked for the US. They fucked the rest of the world.

I have such cables shown at the beginning of your video. Maybe it's because of what I do (lot of working with scrap, metals, drilling, welding etc), but tiny pieces of metal are attracted to those magnets. Maybe in every environment there are tiny pieces of metal. We only don't notice them. However, a lt of metal was accumulated by those magnets, causing a short circuit, turning this metal in some kind of heating element. I don't use them anymore. Maybe some day for the wireless keyboard and controller I have laying around.

A good phone makes little to no compromises. The pocophone sacrifices so much that I wouldn't even consider it. If you need a budget phone, get the Nokia 7 Plus. If you have a bit more, iPhone 8, S9, and Oneplus 6.

So that means that every phone is worth exactly as much as you are paying for it? I doubt that a $1000+ device is actually 5x as good as a $200 budget device. I did get something a lot cheaper than most people about a year ago but so far I didn't notice anything wrong with it. There is no reason to complain as long as you know what you want and what device has everything that you want. Something like you said really just happens if you buy something cheap before knowing anything about it.

Good video thanks im looking for an upgraded for my aged s7 edge i did stumble upon this phone and the specs really blown me away for being cheap. Im a heavy netflix user im fine with just 540p stream like u mention... as i only watcg 4k netflix at home on my 4k hdr tv.. as for mobile phones the most important as long as its mobile can watch it on the go... i wont use 4k stream on mobile or i shoupd say 1440p or 1080p as it wiol eat up my phone data haha

But one can't get the best processor and the best camera at such a low cost . The RAM/STORAGE options available at their respective prices are the best in the market . Screen is good and the face unlock is gr8 . It's very fast and someone can't unlock it with a photo . It's obviously not as secure as the iPhone ones but no-one non-professional can open it without your permission . SideNote - Don't enable it if you don't want someone living in the same house as you to open your phone as it can be unlocked when you sleep 😂🤣

Plus there's a few points needed to be understood: 1) it's a budget phone meaning you're already on a tight budget. 2) If you're gonna watch Full HD are you really gonna watch it on your phone? 3) If you watch it in HD would your data suffice ? 4) If you're on a home connection with unlimited internet, wouldn't you rather watch it on the TV, or computer. idk, I don't watch netflix or those other streaming services, but i think it is still a good deal.

The way data plans in Asia work is entirely different than how U.S. cellular companies do it. They sell data by packages, so users have to be very careful with their usage. As such, I imagine this was a good compromise they came to when choosing what certification to get when looking at what market the phone was designed for. Though I did find it kind of odd that they didn't adopt 720p instead as in consumers minds, it might have softened the blow, perceptually at least.

I don't watch Netflix, so it's not a problem for me. As long as I'm getting the speed that I need when using Poco F1, it is not a problem. This is the result of Xiaomi, doing something that it can be considered as a threat to all those 1k USD Flagship phones, that you don't have to pay too much, to get the specs like SD 845, Infra Face Recognition, 4k mAh Batt, Liquid cooling tech, etc. They will eventually find every flaws of this device, so that consumers will not be encouraged to buy a 300 USD phone that has the power and the speed of a 1k USD phone

I updated my Poco to MIUI 10.3.5 and from what I know the 10.3.4 brought Widevine L1 support. That fixed the problem for me.
