The Pointer Sisters were on FIRE during the early and mid-‘80s! So many phenomenal hits and fantastic albums. I still have all my vinyl LPs and 12" singles from that era, along with some of the earliest CDs I bought back in 1984-85. ‘Break Out’ was one of the very first CDs I owned, in fact, bought some time in late 1984. I was in high school and CDs were about $15 each - nearly twice the cost of LPs and cassettes at the time - so I had to save up and be selective about what I bought on CD. There weren’t all that many titles to choose from at first, though. When I saw ‘Break Out’ on CD, I knew I had to buy it! It was and still is one of my favorite albums from my high school years.
