Some additional info about the Eternal Flower Floette: It also has an otherwise unused Dex entry in Gen 7 that you can obtain by scanning a certain QR code. And there seems to be a placeholder for it in Home.

The nincada evo situation is a bizarre one, as it isn’t just a blanket all of them like with spinda. I don’t know the whole in and outs of it off hand, but looking back, probably would’ve been a good thing to look into and add in the bdsp segment

@@Turtle-Soup Yeah apparently Nincada can't be sent from or into bdsp either, probably to avoid a pokemon from a different game evolving and not being able to be sent back into it's home game, not counting new regional evolutions/forms

Nincada from outside BDSP cannot enter BDSP. Nincada from BDSP cannot enter SwSh. Those are the rules, Ninjask and Shedinja are totally fine. BDSP actually has an exception for the Ninjask/Shedinja copies built-in and cannot tell if a Ninjask or Shedinja is an illegitimate clone at all. I think that the actual reason that HOME has these rules is because game-specific data for other games that should be reset on the Shedinja just wouldn't be because the games can't set any data that specifically belongs to a seperate game.

Furfrou's trims are locked out of being transferred from Pokemon X and Y, since they revert when sent to HOME, meaning that as of now, Pokemon Go is the only way to obtain the trims in HOME (this has led to the GTS economy using the rarer trims as currency)

Fun fact: You could dupe your ride pokemon while the Smeargle dupe was still a thing (aka SV 3.0.0), but if you did, it still has all the data that the original does. ALL of it. So it can't leave your party and it can't be released.

Go is so much worse than that. Some costumes are locked to specific events in specific locations with limited chances, making things like a shiny explorer hat Jolteon basically one thay doesn't even exist. Other ones like the ribbon Lapras have a single chance per account to be shiny, so while they are renewable, let's be real.

Something interesting about Az-folette is if you hack on into a gen 6 or 7 title it can go to Home. it doesn't have its art work but it can just hang out in there, can't be traded in home. plus it also has a shiny form.

Certain moves are lost to time such as Wish Chansey since Home makes it so the Pokemon forgets the move. Surf and Dizzy Punch Pichu are also stuck in their games. Ash Greninja lost its form in gen 9 probably bc Ash retired. Ultra Necrozma is stuck in USUM. Spinda cannot be transferred from Go either, so once Bank shuts down, it won’t be available in any way.

The thing with spinda is, wouldn't they be able to translate the code in home specifically just for spinda? if spinda come from bdsp, reverse this value. I got mine in home through mobile gts, probably from pokemon go. So if you want to complete living dex, just look at mobile gts, it helps completing like pansear simisear panpour, sage, spinda, roaming gholdengo, normal zigzagoon, normal darumaka.

I think Jynx deserves an honorary mention. She can still be found in alot of games if you are looking for her but due to her design having accidental racial undertones her inclusion in modern games is pretty rare and typically late or post game. leading alot of people to believe she has been removed completely and is only in the anime and manga.

Technically a gigantamax duraludon cannot be transferred to scarlet and violet so if you put it in home and no longer have sword and shield its stuck in home

Doesn't it make sense that the ride Koraidon/Miraidon stays in the game, though? I mean, how else would you ride it if it got transfered? If you want to transfer one so badly, just do it to the other one.

Yes it makes sense that it can’t be transferred, as it’s an actual character in the story. It’s just saddening knowing that it’s a Pokémon you can train and battle with, that you create an extra strong bond with due to being such a prevalent part of the story, is forever locked to that specific save file. So as more and more games come out, the more and more it gets pushed away to be forgotten. The other one you catch fills the role of being transferable and all that, but just isn’t the one you bond with for an entire playthrough.

I feel like most of them could have been made transferable. Looks like it's either because of laziness or to make them more special, and by extend, the games where they are stuck special. Spiky Pichu, the Costume Pikachus and the totems wouldn't have had required much coding and should have been made transferable. Koraidon/Miraidon and the partners in Let's Go are understandable though

Yeah, I understand the decision behind the partners and the raidons, as they’re also parts of the story. Everything else is kinda unacceptable in my opinion. Spiky ear pichu, cosplay pikachu, the totems, all could and should easily be able to be deposited into home, looking at what is allowed to be boxed in there nowadays makes it sting even more, but they unfortunately were just all very ahead of the times.

Don't forget XD's Purified Shadow Pokémon get exclusive moves. Yes, I KEPT those moves on the 4 I raised. I know this video was about the species, not moves, but, I want to keep Charm on Zokindle (Houndoom) & Heal Bell on Vykder (Mightyena), but, I want to use them too.

For Example, Seel has Helping Hand, which, under usual Circumstances, Seel cannot learn it through Level up or via TM & cannot be bred onto Seel. It was exclusive to XD's Seel with the National Ribbon UNTIL... Let's Go made it a TM you can teach Seel & Dewgong, meaning that a Dewgong with Helping Hand, Safeguard, Ice Beam & Surf is not unique to XD. While Charm Houndour & Heal Bell Poochyena are still unique to XD. I even considered Lyronis the Dewgong for Indigo Disc, but, Crobat was not available; so I used my Colosseum Team. At least I knew Flygon was in Part 2 from trailers that featured Flygon. I get that XD was focused on giving you more support moves, but, everything has Refresh, Helping Hand, Heal Bell or Safeguard. Colosseum's Shadow Smeargle just gets completely wiped clean with Sketch. Just NO respect to legacy. XD's Remake should use the original code so these Pokémon can be granted their moves back. Eagun could also recognize the ones the player raised... as if. Quaquaval is all we have left of Miror B. outside Ludicolo's dance.

You dont even need it to be connected if it's just a place to put your pokemon. It's complete nonsense. Sure shutting down the store sucked but now they are just spitting in our faces. They didn't even commit to it. It's like hmm You should probably make sure your pokemon from the bank end up in a game by the deadline! Idk if we're going to remove it or not sorry to be so super vague. It's not like catching pokemon and growing attached to them as they grow is all that special... I just can't believe that this is going to become one of those disney situations. I didn't by the switch because it didn't look good, they kept putting stuff out that was ok but we're on a budget right now. I'm pretty glad to NOT have bought it thh. When the pokemon channels are largely giving the end of switch pokemon reviews negative scores, you know you messed up. The worst part about all this is I don't even like Palword. I hate territory sandbox sort of survival games. I'm glad that it's kicking pokemon where it hurts though cause with all that money they could have invested it into better products and we could keep the pokebank. @jonniefast Palworld is fresh air. For many years request in pokemon games were ignored. We were laughed at and now that another moss capture game is out who needs Pokémon. Palworld only the beginning of the monster capture rebellion. I want game developers to create monster capture games to overthrow pokemon. Game freak will not hold us hostage. We the consumer gave them power and we could take it away.

Well, screw ALL that. Because even at this point, you have to...freaking...PRAY that GameFreak makes [almost] ALL of the NON-LEGENDARY Pokemon FROM THE NATIONAL DEX-EVEN FROM THE SECOND-TO-LATEST SWORD AND SHIELD, AFTER ALL OF THE UPDATES AND DLC FOR SCARLET AND VIOLET-at least transferable to future games, as if they were not choking on all their Tauros bad enough with being incompetence at making a "AAA game" on Switch the more we keep going further.
