Rereleasing older games would make money, but might “distract” people from the newer games (make them think twice about buying a new buggy game vs an older and more stable one) **Yes I know the older games had bugs, but I don’t recall gens 1 thru 5 needing an update to avoid deleting your game because you had the audacity to save in the main city like in gen 6

A Gen 10 game where you could actually get every pokemon would be ideal.

Yeah, I make a very quick mention of fan servers at the end of the video. I’ve used them before, the Gen 4 ones are trickier to set up than the Gen 5 ones iirc. While I see them as legit and fair play, they are very much an unintended method of obtaining these Pokémon which is why I didn’t cover it with any depth. I also think it’s just more interesting to look at the history of this topic through only the intended means, as imo, it better showcases the shift in how they’re viewed by the ones that get to make the decisions

Go is always a tough spot for these kinds of videos because it is just so different and frankly I just don’t like talking about it. If it wasn’t for the meltan line, it probably wouldn’t have been mentioned much. Other side games are mentioned in this video, but for the most part they just distribute a mythical straight to a mainline game, where go let’s you use them in their own right with just the option of transferring them to home. The go dex in home also doesn’t track mythicals so the transferring feels discouraged in a way. I also just find it a bit much keeping track of which mythicals have hit general release and which ones are still just from paid events. There’s also the legendary/mythical clause for the mainline games where they need to have at some point had a non go version of a legendary or mythical before you can deposit one from go, which just kinda muddies it. I will also add that despite what some viewers think, I don’t actually hate go, I’ve been an avid player since day 1, I just think it over complicates things in some topics and prefer to stay away from it

This is very interesting and exciting to hear. Still a shame that the epilogue is tied to a mystery gift, but still far better than the original version of this release.

Meltan is unfortunately not in scarlet and violet. Whether the metal alloy will allow for meltan to evolve inside the mainline games will remain to be unseen until we get a game with both the item and meltan available.

I fear the day that the closure is announced I still have so much I want to get in the older games that i want to be able to bring up, and I’m in a constant state of fear that I just won’t get enough time to do it all.

I can realistically see Keldeo being a reward for the swsh pokedexes, since it’s catchable in the dlc, and would match meloetta for sv I do fear that shiny victini will stay stuck locked up, unless it’s catchable in Gen 10 at some point I do hope for maybe like a shiny manaphy for completing both the bdsp dex and the legends arceus dex, just due to how much of a pain that one is to get

You can get keldeo now. It just won't ever be shiny. Regional codes aren't region locked, so you can get the Japanese Keldeo, Zarude and Deoxys event happening now
