If i have half as much energy when or if I get to 70 as Stewart I'll be very happy.

no, just one of YOUR favorites. Don't make the mistake of saying the cliche of "best ever" because... no.

@@morbidmanmusic ok, I forgot to add IMHO ... does this really make a difference ? Everything on this page is a personal opinion ... do we still need to mention this ?

@@FrankenstienArchive yes but according to interviews he has given over the years, he considers himself as a proud American with an arabic musical background, who lived for a while in England, discovered Sting, brought him to the spotlight and both along with Andy summers created the legend.... The rest is history

@ Stewart takes huge pride in his British roots having lived here for so long in his younger years. He also went to school in the UK and didn’t step foot in the U.S. until he was 18. Safe to both countries recognise him for the creative genius he is.
@tonymaner551029 күн бұрын
@@FrankenstienArchive british roots I wouldn't say so...He came to the UK in 1967 at 15 years old due to his father's job, then at 18 he went to the Usa to attend the college, as you say for the first time, only because his father used to move around the world...His musical roots are arabic-american given that he has lived for a long time in the middle East, Cairo and Beirut ...Living there influenced him a lot musically in making him a drummer, revolutionary drumner almost unique that incorporated the middle East rhythm, the balladi, that made The Police so special...In England he came back in the 70's, this country allowed him to make important musical connections and to scout Sting firstly...A turning point, no doubt...He has to be grateful to England, but his musical and cultural roots are arabic and american, he was influenced also by his father who played jazz and by The Jimy Hendrix Experience with Mitch Mitchell...

What a fantastic interview he is. Reminds me of Ray Manazerek of The Doors.

Copeland's ridiculous and extravagant persona always brings a smile - you can't shut him up! But living in punk UK obviously left it's mark if he's into the Sleafrod Mods!

I love Stewart’s absolute refusal to let go of his past conflict(s) with Sting(o) - SO unhealthy, SO counterproductive, SO useless . . . so much like ME ‼️
@FrankenstienArchive29 күн бұрын
It almost didn’t happen! Even in October 1976, Sting was touring and recording with LAST EXIT in London. Had that Carol Wilson session been successful I’m not so sure Sting would have moved forward with the police. He appears to have kept his options open

Sting almost ran away - with Billy Ocean. Pity Stewart does not elaborate on that

I disagree. I love everything Stewart has written, especially Klark Kent.

I can totally see why these guys wanted to kill each other. Stu is fun and never shuts the eff up, and has energy of 9 people. Sting is pompous , curmudgeon, with generational talent
