I don't agree with him when he said that he understands why the police felt that way about rappers, because rappers attacked them in their songs, WRONG, rappers were saying what was ALREADY happening, not attacking, just reporting

Your statement is facts ... but I think the crooked cops didn't like it was being told openly for people to hear. So the all cops were (probably) hating that it was being shone a light on and exposing them.

@@user-yw5vf1uu4i The same way that they were scared of Malcolm X & Martin Luther King Jr. Operation CointelPro explains it all. Tupac’s Mother, Father, Stepfather & Aunt were all members of the Black Panthers. Let me give you a History lesson. In January 1969 three high level members of the Black Panther Party in New York were driving along the Hudson River Parkway in New York City. One of them was “Joan Bird” who was the Secretary Treasurer. They were driving on the parkway & a New York City police cruiser pulled up behind them & rammed them in the back twice for absolutely no reason. The police car pulled over to the side of the car & pulled a revolver out & pointed it at the driver. The driver reached over & picked up a 357 Magnum & killed the Police officer. He blew the officer up all over the other officers in the car🩸& they crashed. The Black Panthers got out & ran away into the woods. Joan Bird was in the backseat 8 months pregnant & waited for the cops to come. When the cops came they beat her & locked her up. While she was locked up they abused her to get her to tell them the other names of the people in the car. They later arrested Tupac’s stepfather “Lumumba Shakur” & “Clark Squire” for the murder. The case was dropped in the probable cause hearing because they had no evidence to prove that they were at the scene. Joan Bird was later released. The Police was pissed off about this so within 20 days in 1969 two hundred police offices swept down on all the leadership of the Black Panthers in New York & arrested the top 21 leaders. The bail was $2.1 Million Dollars. The charges was conspiracy to commit murder, bombing the statue of liberty 🗽 bombing the Bronx botanical gardens & to blow up the 42nd precinct. The 42nd precinct was directly across the Hudson River parkway that the 1st incident happened at. The Source of all this information was an undercover informant that was placed within the Black Panthers who was the one who kept suggesting that they commit these acts. That’s called Enticement which is illegal! The Black Panthers were held until May 1971 (23 months later) the case is called The People of New York vs Joan Bird. Long story short 157 votes by the jury voted not guilty. All charges were dismissed. Tupacs Mom “Afeni Shakur” & Stepfather “Lumumba Shakur” were all apart of that case. Tupac’s Aunt “Assata Shakur” had a similar incident happen to her with racist Law Enforcement Officers in New Jersey where a state trooper was killed. Assata Shakur broke out of jail & has been in Cuba for the past 20 plus years. I know my history. Tupac was raised by the Black Panthers & the Government was terrified of his message. You have more learning to do 📚

"The black panthers were doing something rappers weren't doing." The difference was the panthers were a socialist/black nationalist political organisation that presented a threat to the existing order. Rappers do not present any systemic danger to the ruling class of america and most rappers that come up are not socialists but love "money and fame".

You mad because he was a revolutionary and you just talk. His family was with the business. What about you and your family? Have yall stepped in while the police was beating up someone you didn't know, because it was wrong? The court found him not guilty in that case but nonetheless, he did more than any of yall would have done, because yall ARE COWARDS for real and his FAMILY was with all the SMOKE, That's why he has an in exile in Cuba and had a few uncles locked under jails behind his family. Go get into some real shit first, before you try to undermine a REAL Revoluntionary. What have you done to make someone take you and your family out? Absolutely nothing.

This was one of the realest interviews about pac, i felt him like he lost the person pac not the rapper in my head... a black man rapping in the 90s, from a PTSD panther background. When he talked about the guy killing the cop and him saying it was because i lessoned to 2pac ... a panther, that was one of the most ironic things because i thought about no social media and racial tensions being high This one as a 2pac fan i know im going to keep coming back to this There were too many things in this clip, appreciate this

That's what alot of people seem to forget about 2pac and his background. His family was the Shakurs. FBI most wanted family back in the day. And his mom was a Black Panther. Half his family was. He even mentions them in his music alot. He comes from the most notorious, yet gangsta family backgrounds. He was basically born into it and had to carry their legacy. But he did it in his own way, with his ThugLife movement. He even has an interview where he speaks on being poor and he sees his next door neighbor has food. And he put it in details how the Black Panthers/Civil Right movement begged calmly for food. And then said, after awhile that song and tone going to change. From can you please let us in, cause we're hungry. To his generation saying. I'm picking the lock coming through the door blasting. We asked nicely with the Black Panthers back then. So you can't expect for me to keep singing that same song. I may have said or worded it differently then he did from that interview. But going back to the point, 2pac knew he had to carry his family background on his shoulders. But did it in his way.
