The Police RENEWED - Contact (FYYC's Extended Remix & Special Video)

With The Police, and especially Sting in fact, persisting in their refusal (or rather fear, I think) to make that new material that everyone is really waiting for, we - the loyal fans - have to get the job done. So take a moment for this refreshed version of Copelands song ‘Contact’.
It's a typical Stewart song, a straightforward run, but man, what do you get A LOT OF ENERGY from this one! I've tried to flesh out Stewart's dynamic approach in this remix. Play it loud, people!
Don’t be deceived by the live video footage, what you hear is NEVER what you see, not even for a second. The video is only made to support the audio remix. All footage used is around on the internet. Really hope you enjoy it. If you do, please leave a short message! If you don’t, don’t hesitate to comment also. Love to read any comments.
And in the end - of course - this all is for a much greater cause. If our protagonist(s) will ever read this: dear mister Sting, you like to surprise your fans by always doing 'something truely surprising, things they don't expect'. But with all respect we know that by now... there is not so much surprise left. Meanwhile, the years are starting to count seriously, especially for Andy. So time to do something REALLY surprising: break the myth about The Police as a closed legend, visit your old friends (while you still can), and do what lots worldwide don't expect, but are really waiting for: MAKE THAT DAMN SIXTH POLICE ALBUM!
If there's not enough inspiration, just re-work a pile of solo songs from each other. Throw them in the 'Police blender', give Stu and Andy some space, and see what comes out. In my humble opinion: we will eternally love you all three for this truely unexpected move! And if it's not good enough, all remixers on this earth will have enough new material to work on improved versions for yeaaaaars to come.. ;-). But I doubt that will be the case.

Wow love this thank you ! Regatta was the 1st Police album l bought back when l was 14. l ran it on my new (2nd hand stereo) good sound quality but a few bpms slow, so everything sounded heavier. l love how every song has a completely different story, yet mostly strange & haunting. One minute on the moon, the next, not having a rain coat, especially love the clanky piano chords on Does Everone Stare.

The Police should have another reunion in Las Vegas. They could use some members from Sting's band and add the Chop's horns and a keyboardist. Perhaps 2 concerts a week would be enough to keep them sharp and rested.

Well, I am a huge fan of Led Zeppelin too. Once I heard John Paul Jones saying the secret of their immense appealing was the way the blended light and shade, meaning slow and fat tempos un their songs. If you come ti think of it, The Police does the same in many songs, Contact, Deathwish, So Lonely, even Message un a Bittle has different tempos in it. 👌 do you agree?

Definitely, gives the songs a lot more variation. Also, there are a lot of Police- typical 'breakes' at about 2/3 in many songs, that provide some space.
