The Police RENEWED - Low Life (FYYC's Extended Remix & Special Video)

The original was only a 3.45 minutes version. As you might already know it was originally recorded in 1979 in the Reggatta era, although they released it in 1981. Always thought it was a pity the song didn't make it to their first albums. So it took me over 40 years to carry out my intention to make an extended version of this little gem... As far as I know still the first remix of this song. And of course also the first video, since The Police (other than Sting solo) never played the song live to my knowledge, let alone with cameras. German jazz saxophonist Olaf Kübler played the sax.
So don’t be deceived by the video footage, what you hear is not what you see. The video is only made to support the audio remix. All footage used is around on the internet. I tried to create a supporting video that captures the feel of the song a bit, with an occasional wink. Really hope you enjoy it. If you do, please leave a short message! And last but not least, ultimately this is all for a greater purpose. If our protagonist(s) ever listen to this: come on guys, especially Sting, the years are seriously starting to count, so surprise the world, break the myth of The Police as a closed legend, visit your old friends, conquer the demons of the past, and do what many people worldwide don't expect, but are really waiting for: rearrange a few of each other's solo songs, give each other some space and it's done: THAT DAMNED SIXTH POLICE ALBUM!

I think this is the best B side of the police and it would have been a great addition to the set of the Police. Very understated track. I love playing the chord progression. Typical Sting. This is one of the songs he wrote to inspire Andy Summers. as if Andy required any inspiration. Wonderful song, and again a very ambiguise mix that few would get. 😁

Yes, I think a new album would always be welcome. A new musical production, in any way and style. The longer they wait it will be the worse, and we keep waiting. One song, two or whatever.
