So I guess the master track with the vocals wiped (but clearly audible in the bleed) counts as instrumental? Still cool to hear though.
@SoundsGoodwvzmix-_-4 жыл бұрын
You hear the Voice because it was recorded on tape, the heads of the 24-track recorders not only read the assigned track but also the neighboring ones, so if the voice is track 8 and I keep it silent but track 9 or 7 is the bass that I keep it open, you hear the return of the voice. It's just a glitch that occurs when recording analog
@Putaspellonyou4 жыл бұрын
@@SoundsGoodwvzmix-_- is that how it works? Gee thanks for explaining what I had already noted.
@mightyV4443 жыл бұрын
@@Putaspellonyou - But "Bleed" could've also meant that Sting's voice was picked up from other microphones during recording, like the drums'!
@jaggass3 жыл бұрын
I have the stems on Walking On The Moon and the kick drum track Sting's voice can be heard on it as the kick drum mic has picked it up. Most played bands fully live in the studio back then and microphone bleed would exist on one track or two but it was the fastest way of recording back then. Some musicians like Elton John did the vocals last.
