This is the first I've ever really seen about Matty in person, and I cannot express enough how much of a top bloke he seems. Legit a wonderful person. Them arranging to play snooker together warms my icy heart. I hope they follow through. Matty seemed so genuine in his invitation. Great, great podcast, this.

The Polish cafu. Love the way he's embraced his Polish heritage , always gives everything for club and country. Really interesting to hear his attitude towards the low moments and how he doesn't let them bother him, it does reflect on the pitch because at times hes been the only one to grab the game by the horns (last season anyway). Matty's respect for Gary Brazil (Head of the Forest Academy) is very clear, even now they are friends. Matty's dad Stuart who also pulled on the Garibaldi Red was at Forest from 89-92 and never played for the first team under Brian Clough, he did play for the Forest reserves. Gary Brazil has been one of the leading forces behind the success of the Academy at Forest. The Nigel Doughty Academy(named after the late owner and Chairman) as it is officially known has been nurturing the talent of the future, Gary has been the head for 10 years(at the club for 12) and the talent that has progressed through the ranks is very impressive including Matty. Gary's daughter is Ellie and she plays for Tottenham Hotspur in the WSL

I played one game with Matty at Fab academy just before the scholarship he probably doesn’t even remember it😅 He was a top player could play many different positions in midfield. Sadly I went to a different scholarship and missed out on playing with him. What a quality group of players there though.

Remember when I came to UK I started watching English movies with polish subtitles, than switch to English subtitles and finally watched without subtitles.
