Problems with SCOPED; 1. Does not consider how each individual therapist engaged with their own personal therapy. 2. Does not consider client hours which the therapist had in their own business, doesn't consider personal experiences. Out of hours from the course/non-validated hours. 3. Does not consider the individual theoretical development of the therapist which occurred outside of the training readings, conferences and other projects etc. 4. Hierarchy is in favour of those with more free time, and more money. SCOPED has been accused of being a "psychoanaltyical" coup.

missed a lot in this video, please leave any questions and I'll try my best to answer. Tried my best to impart as much as possible about british psychoanalysis and its politics. it a follow up video we may look at more revolutionary psychoanalysis - which incorporates marxism or anarchism into its analysis. Michael Rustin represents the left, in British Psychoanalysis and advocates for a Clement Atleee like welfare state that has an emphasis on childhood development. So there are some leftists in this tradition but there is also a lot of right wing political thought/reactionary thought.

Currently, the BPC and BACP do not include lacanian psychoanalysis as a tradition. I'm in opposition to this also, but I do not desire for a lacanian hegemony to replace the current state of affairs.
