When this show was on the air, Jon Bauman was also the co-host(with Gene Rayburn) of "The Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour" on NBC. Rayburn hosted the Match Game portion and Bauman was the Hollywood Squares host.

WOW. I remember this game show. Jon Bauman was a really good host. I wish someone would post the episode that had X, though. As for this show, I'd never before heard of Jack Mack & The Heart Attack, but they were damn good. As for.The Commodores, it's always great seeing them - even without Lionel Richie - however, why they decided to do this snooze-fest Easy Listening ballad on a show called "The Pop 'N Rocker" is beyond me. 🤷🏻♂️

Jack Mack and the Heart Attack was also the house band for The Late Show with Ross Shafer in 1988

I don't know why they'd shoot this program at ABC in LA even though it was for syndication. They should've shot it at Metromedia Square (some of another ALP show, Gimme a Break). If so, the tech staff could've been: Unit Manager PATTY GARY Technical Director VINCE MACK Lighting Director KEN WILCOX Audio SAM MOLLAUN Video OSSIE DIPAOLO Cameras TOM CONKRIGHT, MARTIN GOLDSTEIN, BETTINA MYLENEK, VINCE SINGLETARY, DENNIS TURNER

I think they should have given Mykul the $100 from the countdown round, i mean yeah he didn't buzz in but he was the only one eligible, so it shouldn't matter.

The announcer sounds like Rod Roddy. Is it him, or is it someone else?

@@boilermaker2006 You may remember him from such game shows as "The Krusty the Clown Screen Test" and "Press Your Spunk"

@@MrMatteNWk And the latter show was hosted by screen great Troy McClure! XD Speaking of announcers, I wonder if any episodes of Pop 'n Rocker with M.G. Kelly in the booth exist on the circuit? If his announcing on Wheel was anything to go by, I can't imagine him being as over-the-top as Phil was.
