God doesn't need, nor does He want to use music that is commonly associated or that is close to the devil's music to "real in those who are unsaved." That's what the Holy Spirit is for. Rock music is the devil's music, and so is pop music nowadays, it promotes sin, etc. Why would God want to use "the same type of music, beat, and sound" the devil uses. They're enemies, they don't work together, neither should their music.

Look at the church now. We have megachurches drawing in city people by the thousands all over the world. osimeon00 it's in the music to. Music is powerful even without the words. That's why they use music in movies, to set the mood they want you to have. Suspense music sets a suspense mood, sad music sets a sad mood. This is why you don't play upbeet music at a funeral, and slow music at a party. Music sets the tone. God doesn't want people to listen to music that makes you want to dance, gyrate, etc when the music is supposed to be glorifying him. Upbeet "christian" rap and pop still sets the mood a secular rap or pop song produces. The sound and even down to the beat of God's music should not sound like the devil's music.

+osimeon00 unfortunately though, not all churches are created equal cause not every church preaches the true message of Jesus Christ. People nowadays just want to have their ears tickled and hear what pleases them, and that's how some of these megachurches are formed. (Can someone say Prosperity Gospel?) People say they know and love Jesus, but their lives says otherwise. Cause when you get down to the true gospel, the one Paul and Peter and the disciples preached, the one that got them persecuted, beaten, tortured, and killed for -- not errbody wants to hear that because it makes you feel uncomfortable and convicted. To repent from your sins and follow Jesus wholeheartedly, even if it costs you your life?? Not many "Christians" are even willing to give up a Friday night to go to church instead of going to the bar/club/movies/anywhere else, let alone their life! I'm not buying that album, but if it will reach the new generation I'm here for it. I translate the Bible in New Living Translation because it would take me time to translate the original writing with the different words and cultural nuances. Now we, the young generation, should eventually go to church and read the original translations, but we all have to start somewhere. They want to start with an album versus me getting a translation, then that's fine.
