What a wonderful variety of meaningful tasks you have to every day. It isn’t arduous work, but it requires lots of activity. Those of us retired in suburbia, go for walks around the block or motor over to a park, and do a bit of raking or edging. I am not buying a farm, but I sure do appreciate having you share your days with us. You remind me that even just a home and a small yard can provide numerous opportunities to get things done that need doing. And feel happy you did. Those pigs are enormous and not the least bit cute any more!

I remember when we would unload and put away groceries or purchases. Toss the paper bag or empty box on the floor. The cat would be thrilled to get in it. Just left her and her new refuge alone until she was done with it. We always enjoyed watching her. Pete, as always enjoyed the video. Thank you for including us in your day. 🙋

Little humor with the pigs. 👍. Life is full of truth that can be painful such as taking the life of an animal you cared for, especially when you are closer with the groups you raise than if it was 1000+, not just a number is better. The circle of life is full of sad moments and joyful moments. May we all be blessed and have more joy than sadness. Guillotine Dad jokes, very nice, 🤣.

When I was growing up on the farm we ha cows break a fence and got into a crab apple orchid. When cows came in one was missing. Smokey was her name, and twoof us went to get her. we found her but she had eaten a bunch of crab apples and believe it or not she was drunk. Took 8 of us to walk her down to the barn. Can you imagine 8 young iids ranging in age from 6 to 15 steadying a cow to get her to the barn? I still laugh about that.

Decades ago, I worked with a guy who had a few critters, including a hog named Arnold. He took a galvanized bucket and would put it to Arnold's face to back him around to where he wanted Arnold to go. One day, Arnold simply bit through the bottom of the bucket. His owner was lucky he didn't have his hand pressing against the bottom of the bucket when Arnold bit through it. I like your method of loading those pigs better.

Another delightful episode - Thank you Pete and Hillary! Hill was wearing the Alabama big A - we are headed there after 35 yrs in SoCal - we are acquiring a farmette, just half the acreage as yours and plan to make the northeast corner of the state our new home late this month. Lots of tax payers leaving the region in the southwest US for more sane terrain. To many folks, the sunshine tax is not worth it anymore. Anxious to get our pasture going. 58" annual precipitation ought to help that along!

Another great video Pete. good mixture of content. love the oil change and filters. and the exhaust can shot was superb! And I think your idea with the trailer and the pigs makes a lot of sense and seems to work out well. Beats trying to load them in a strange trailer or truck and spending hours doing so. lot more fun to just walk up and close the door while they are all loaded up. great idea. pastures are coming along. things are slow even down here in the Berkshires or Western ma. one of those years I guess. glad to see the sun for once! been wet season here. thanks again for another enjoyable video Love the shot with Ezra also. So, I am over 65, and a woman, and I grew up on a farm, and I enjoy your videos so very much!! I love how you talk to your animals I love your relaxed attitude I love your funny jokes, and I love watching everything you do and this is going to surprise you but I even love you changing the oil and oil filter and whatever it is you’re doing on your tractors. Growing up on the farm the girls were in allowed to be around the machinery other than when we were smaller we could get up and get a ride on daddy’s lap or stand Beside him when he had his certain Farmall that had a standing area next to the seat… My mom often still be stadium with her arm around daddy! It was a great site😊❣️❣️ anyway I don’t care what you’re tinkering with on the farm I enjoy it because I never got a chance to watch it!!I’ve been college three times: studied architecture and accounting for two years along with art; then 10 years later I went back and study graphic arts as that seems to be the focus of art and money for another two years; and many years later at the age of 47 I got a degree in interior design because only 10% of the women were still allowed to be an architect and get a room and a window and have her name on the drawing. I’ve been through too much in Life to have to work under a man again & not get credit and was interior line when your license she’ll get it re-draw up plans because people change your mind and you have to know how to do it you have to understand everything about plumbing and electrical and you get a help then put their house together… Such fun. I like to know how things work. I really had a good brain and I was gifted with a good Brain.. I even took more math classes including calculus and advanced geometry where I learned about algorithmic equations and I graduated with honors. Unfortunately two weeks later I was diagnosed with stage for breast cancer. So that should’ve changed my plans… And now I live vicariously through farming videos such as yours. I certainly agree that when you change the oil and filters in that tractor and you started up again, it sounds like a new tractor and runs so much smoother. You can tell the difference in the engine. I’ve been around engines most of my life and I’ve even worked for some high end auto companies. I raised two boys and I learn to study cars and listen to trucks and I went to races so I love the sound of a good sounding end of it whether it’s attached to vehicle or a tractor. I love the sound all your tractors they all have a unique sound each of them. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy them with you. I also love that you taught all of your animals. My dad did as well but he didn’t really like anybody to know he was, But I was close with him and had the privilege of sharing those events. The pigs look perfect for going to sell… You’ve done good my father enjoyed raising Hogs especially…Very rewarding and great turnover. Something again he kept us girls away from… Do you want to study ladies and keep us safe from harm. I respect him for for that ♥️
