I took delivery of a Manual GTS about a month and a half ago. This reinforces my decision was right even more. I love the car as Matt says it is a perfectly usable daily car that does everything amazingly. What blows my mind is I can get 30+MPG at 80mph. So insane for a sports car with its performance.

We just found a ‘20 cab4S in Miami blue and it’s sick!! I prefer the cheaper 4s because we will just add an m-engineering tune which will bring it to 600hp for 2500$. No other changes. Hello cheap turbo spec!! Plus mia blue is the best color ever. Jus sayin

For sure the efficiency is fantastic. Our Miami Blue 992S always gets 31 MPG on road trips. And yes, the mandatory autostart sucks. Prior versions allowed you to switch it off on your console and leave it off.

You can use the diamond switch on the steering wheel to turn off autostart. That is the default setup.

Right on. I strongly suggest the GTS suspension delete for a daily in LA. That extra centimeter of ride height/suspension travel may make all the difference in LA. Just make sure to option PDCC, Rear Steer and Nose Lift as well.. And definitely the 18 way seats with PDK... Inno-drive is dope as well for traffic. Night vision for crazy Peds. Surround view for parking... Burmester to rock the f out in taffic... load that fkr up... and skip the Center Locks and Ceramics.

I used to be Mr. Coupe-or-die but living with a Miata has shown me just how fun having the top down is. Having a Porsche-grade top with the security and noise insulation of the magnesium plates combined with their interior quality, build quality, chassis stiffness - say yes to a Porsche convertible! But does that make the biggest competitor to a 911 Cabriolet just a Boxster? What would you say pushes a buyer out of a Boxster and into a 911 Cab?

TIP: on the 992s set the Individual driving mode to "Normal" + Auto Start-Stop to OFF + Sports Exhaust ON. I now turn the car on with my left hand and turn the driving mode to the right with my right without even thinking about it anymore.

I set my individual up with everything from normal, minus start stop. I daily the car, so I leave the exhaust quiet unless I get bored and want to rip it a bit. The car does have multiple personalities, just came back from Home Depot, it’s a black 992 S coupe with sport and premium packages - no issues driving everyday.

Unfortunately with current market pricing GTS’s are priced damn near where Turbo S’s MSRP at. $225-250k is absolutely insane for what is a Carrera S with center lock wheels, a little extra power, and some performance goodies as standard.

The general rule of thumb is the comparable Porsche model to the Corvette usually costs twice as much, with a Ferrari twice as much as that. Corvettes & Porsches are Apples & Oranges. if you are looking for Bang for the Buck equation a Porsche will never make sense.

I like the targa they’re very cool but remember they’re heavy all wheel drive, not the cab c2s. I’m glad I chose a 2014 991.1 911 S looks like someone else Spect all the cool things for me so I got all 7 buttons that sport plus it’s lowered which I think that suspension is really stiff and there’s a lot of tight stuff where I live so it seems like it’s on three wheels sometimes I’m sure it is and rarely do I get to put it in sport plus because it’s so aggressive I almost think somethings wrong with the PDK0 yeah I got the PDK i’ve been shifting my whole life my knees a little sore and I do wanna road trip and cruise around and still have the rocket power which man that 911 S has.

At the 4:20 mark Mat states that the center locking wheels are the first ones offered on a non-GT car. I pretty sure that GTS have all come with CL's as standard. I'm I wrong?
