The senior H. H. Rogers was descended from three Mayflower passengers. I've been to Fairhaven several times; the public buildings that senior gave to the town are truly magnificent.

Kudos for not using an artificially-generated robot voice for the narrative. I was impressed by how much information this channel creator was able to imbed in the eight minutes. Excellent content and presentation. Cheers.

Ken, you continue to impress with the refinement of your posts; distilling all the most salient information from what I can only imagine is a great deal of research. So well done! Great broadcast voice, too: very soothing. Thank you.

I'm always impressed with men then and today that actually make and produce products. It is interesting that the first generations will sacrifice, but inheriting generations spend the rewards of their elder's work. I like the simple elegance of Blackpoint (expect the Roman statues). Good report, Ken.

I’d like to see Port of Missing Men. That’s amazing it’s still in the hands of the family. If I’m not mistaken, Freemans Auctions of Philadelphia did a sale of property from the estate of Millicent Rogers. She was a fascinating lady and I’m looking forward to your vlog about her. Thanks Ken!

Another great video Ken, thank you so much. Do you have any videos of Detroit, Mi? When I was a kid, it was such a beautiful city. It is making a comeback, but unfortunately lost a lot of personality in my opinion.

One can tell that that is a turn-of-the-century building. It has numerous wide porches for coolness during the day, as well as large sleeping-porches on the second floor. Americans in that period were fanatical about getting into fresh air.

That thumbnail photo looks a bit like the back of an old sailing ship, with the windows to the captain's quarters at the back. Funny to find out it houses a pool. I prefer the later house, with the arches, and wood beams in the huge living room. This is surely an example of 'getting in on the ground floor'. And one has to really try to blow through over a billion dollars.

How did Jr. enter WWI as a LTC? Just wealth? Very unusual. How, when signing up for WWI did he not know of his father's extensive wealth after seeing the mansion? Why were the mansions torn down? No cheap labor to maintain them? Or...

JR. was STUPID!!! It takes dedication to squander that extreme amount of money and an overinflated ego. He didn’t care about his father at all or appreciate anything the man went through to make that money.
