It's all so obvious! Why are we hooked on bad news when it effects our mood and view of the world around us so negatively?! I set up a website 2 years ago with a positive outlook on my town. I've gained 11K followers for the brand in that time. I've just discovered this talk and it sounds like how i think. It's brilliant. I've got NO journalistic experience but i'm good with English and i'm a positive person. If you waanna see what i've made Google Blackpool bible. I need to apply to this news paper, this is the kind of Journalism that excites me, it gives me Goosebumps......I need to complete my degree, I would consider working for these on a voluntary basis until the degree is completed, its a passion, that burns within me, positivity is contagious and spreads a lot quicker, or it should at least, than the fear driven stuff, society is out of balance, this kind of journalism rebalances us, makes us more humane, and gives us our humanity back. Arrggh I hope they read this, this burns within me so much.....I know my destiny is in spreading hope, good news and the more truthful and natural the human spirit really is. We are kind by design, its only the negative stuff that's to blame.....I could go, as you well know.....but I'll contain myself....this is who I am....and what stirs me....

Thank you! Most of the news, nowadays, is negative so it can be interested in the society. However, I do agree with you that a journalist’s duty isn’t only reporting news but minimizing harm and positive news should be published more inspiring people. Moreover, I’m the one who used to not want to read the news because of its negativity. But, I still believe that which news the society needs to know, even though it’s a bad story, it still should be published.
