It’s weird though. Having surfed Malibu in the early 60s I don’t remember it having so many long sections. Is this the norm nowadays? I’ve taken off from the main point and Rosa all the way to wheee the lifeguard tower used to be.

Verbal communication in the line up is encouraged a hui or ho or yeww is nice or some times I say to other people go for it ,go you got it

The sandbar - from the river mouth being too far inside - encourages the drop-ins. 'Too deep' shouldn't be a thing, at first point. And that inside section is just mushy and gutless...

A long time ago, gracie jiu jitsu experts used to come from the valley and give the locals a hard time. I guess it is the same now. Get used to having a kook take off in front of you, fall off, and then put a choke on you because it is your fault.

Good riddance, the kooks can have it. It's super mushy, slow and doesn't barrell and isn't even a fun wave.

Brad, I believe you may know that some locals have a presence in the water and that presence brings a more courteous moment in the water. Glad to see you filmed one of those moments. Truth is, Those that can’t make sections yet at the point, get stuffed. Thanks for the entertainment!
