It might only be because I'm taking methadone now, but I'm getting close to finishing the taper, and should be leaving the clinic sometime next year.

The more I listen to this, the more I realize Gibbard and Tamborello were probably attempting to make a pastiche of a song The Album Leaf would make (instrumental-wise) That, or a member or two of The Album Leaf were involved in the making of this song, which isn't too out there considering both projects are signed with Sub Pop records and probably did come across each other at some point. Anyways, if you like this song, I'd reccomend checking out The Album Leaf's albums. Not all of their tracks are as melancholy as this one, but they scratch a similar itch.
