Thanks, Ali. I look forward to your videos to get your thoughts on the game. I liked how the players kept feeding Odobert. Sometimes a youngster gets overlooked by the experienced players as if they’re worried to give them the ball. It was refreshing to see how much they included him showing belief in his ability. I’m hoping an opportunity for a combo LCB/LB comes in for Spurs to get. Micky going down scared me, so I’d prefer we try to find a guy with similar pace. Hincapie looks close but is expensive. Unfortunately pundits in general don’t say much positive about Spurs regardless if we win or lose. They say Ange has been found out, we were terrible at the end of last season with no mention of losing HK and our injuries. I’ve stopped paying them too much attention. I prefer hearing your objective opinions. Thanks again! COYS!

Great statement win to bring down abit of that early season angst from the fans, now we need to take this form forward and try and get some momentum, we have a couple of tough games ahead but if the players can give more of what we have seen like the first half in the leicester game and the everton game i think we have plenty of reasons to look forward to seeing how this team progresses.

Great video analysis as ever. I was at the game and I have to mention Deke above all else. Others grabbed most of the headlines but when I saw the team sheet I said he was picked to get in the box (even as a midfielder) and cause mayhem, and he did that brilliantly. And as you said I think that this is a blueprint tactic for future low block opposition, good spot by Ange. I really want the best for BJ but that outright RW position doesn't suit him. Real tests coming up but we are on our way. (PS still need a LCB/LB as the Mickey scare proved).

Really liked that debut from Odobert. Now just like for any young player, it’s about consistency. Seems like a real key moment in brennans career now. Feel like he does fit better coming off the bench but he will need to be careful not to let the opportunity slip past him. Will only get tougher over time with Moore and Yang that will be pushing for those minutes.

Glad to hear the news about set pieces and hopefully an improvement this season because we cannot concede 60 odd goals and expect to be top 4. Also great to see Biss playing well but why from being quite moderate for long periods he could suddenly turn it on at the flick of a switch? just because he had to prove himself! that's a big ? for me and I feel not missed by Ange and if he drops off again Ange will not be so forgiving. 1 goal conceded in two matches is good but we will learn much more from our next two and for me it's whether we look solid or not to the eye in those games if we concede ok but it's the over all feel and look were we in control did we boss situations or did we look weak and vulnerable.

The worry for me , is that Spurs haven't strengthened the weak spots of last season , and against the better teams , we won't get away with it , like we did against Leicester and Everton , they'll be punished with goals against . A very exciting start to spurs life for Wilson - agree some of his first touches taking the ball down were fantastic. I thought could have tried a few more take ons rather than pass back but a confidence builder for sure. Kulu in that midfield position worked great as he could also go out on the right wing at times and combine nicely and loved his jinking assist in the box - you’d think Sarr or Bentancur play that role vs Newcastle and Arsenal to start though but a great option for these lower block teams. For me the next 2 games will tell us if we are seriously competing amongst top 4 this season or not. 4 points would be nice. 6 points would make up for Leicester draw. 0 points and we are just a team that can play nice entertaining football
@nigelgates10862 ай бұрын
I've heard some fans moaning about Odobert not doing much but I thought he was pretty good certainly an improvement on Johnson and what he's delivered so far this season. Romero showed why Levy told Real Madrid 150 million when they asked, he gets better all the time and with VDV they've got to be one of, if not, the best CB pairings in the league. I don't think that midfield trio will stick together for the next two games though maybe back against one of the lesser teams they'll be back together. Good job but the next couple of games will be far more telling than the first two for me Romero was the star of the game twice he put Maddison through one on one with Pickford sadly nothing, he had a shot himself brought the ball down like a forward and volleyed it forced a save and of course scored a great header, I don't usually pick a player of the match but this was something else, especially his 100th league game. Thanks for the update, glad you had a great weekend, enjoy the rest of your week and take care.

Thanks Mr. Gold. Interesting enough to watch twice. Great to see Ange is open to making tweaks. Theyre needed. Odebert looks a ready made upgrade on BJ. Son looks like hes woken up after last week. So Werner will be a suitable backup. Now we need to see who out of Richi or DomSol grab the striker position, or if Richi deputised on the forward line instead. All promising stuff but the crunch comes when facing the big teams. Lets see what we do against these teams. Especially with the Thu/Sun turnaround. Brighton, Villa, Fulham, Wolves, Newcastle, Liverpool, the Goons and Chelski are the games Ill be looking to, to see if and how we have progressed.

We can call someone we like or someone we are having an altercation with at the pub mate. It’s all in the delivery. If it’s friendly the infliction is on the Ma. You can have fun with it a stretch it out ie Maaaaate. If it’s unfriendly the infliction is a hard te ie ma-TE. You tend to go the unfriendly. It seems that one of the biggest challenges that players (perhaps people in general) face is keeping a grip on the people around them - partners, family, friends. Everybody needs to be engaged in creating a positive atmosphere where they can evolve, with no bad influences. Richarlison seems to have gone through a bad patch and was badly let down by people around him. A year ago, we were all ecstatic that we finally seemed to have found our new Dembele. That's how good he can be - so let's hope that's what we're going to get from now on.

Wilson Odobert did his chances no harm with a good debut. It is too early to assess him, but the signs are good. Basic principles of playing a high line- 1) stay as high as possible while there is pressure on the ball. 2) if a opposition player escapes the press, the defence must drop off together and quickly. (Otherwise, with no pressure on the ball, it’s all too easy to play a ball in behind in acres of space) The goal was conceded because- A) the press failed B) the line didn’t drop quickly enough
