Yes instead of P.E we had dance lessons at my high school in pre Christmas lessons because our school Christmas dance was first half Scottish dancing then after a break the disco. I think more boys danced in the first half than the second. So much fun.

@@ScottishCountryDancing I'm sorry, I couldn't find a clip of that here on KZbin, and I actually got the name of the movie wrong (sorry!) The movie was made in 1961 and it is actually called "On the Double". Kaye plays the role of an American GI in WW2 who has to impersonate a British (Scottish) General and his attempt to take part in a Scottish dance, in a kilt barely kept under control, is one of the funniest scenes in the movie. I would definitely recommend checking the movie out from the library if you've never seen it :)

I have Scottish heritage. I love Scottish/ Gaelic music. And I also love dancing. I love to watch guys in kilts dancing. I love Celtic music The nun in school taught us To dance I love That Scottish Costume with the Plaid. Kilts are worn with shirts. So they are not dresses. They are usually worn for special occasions and formal events
