100%. Reading all the negativity on POTS forums and Facebook groups delayed my progress probably two years. I got in my head that I couldn’t live a normal life again and that’s just not true

Sorry folks have been so negative. I have POTS and I found your videos helpful. Especially talking about not getting fearful of high heart rate, and confronting the anxiety component. Good luck on your new chapter!

My anxiety component is HUGE. I had anxiety before getting POTS. And it's still very new to me. But I have seen the negativity on Facebook forums etc, I left a group because everything seemed to be about symptoms and fear and it just made me feel more fear. I'm only on one forum now and it's called POTS fully recovered and they will literally remove your post if it is triggering or about symptoms or negativity. It's only for recovered or determined to recover POTS patients! All that said, my symptoms are heavy and they suck majorly and I cry and I get upset about my life but I still get up every single day and I exercise and drink fluids and try to do whatever I think may help in the long run. I'm not laying around accepting this as all I can ever do or be. I want to recover and smile and enjoy my life again and I'm going to keep pushing for that! I still hope to see POTS content from you because you are motivational and proof that people can thrive and get better. :)

Good info. I can 💯 relate. My history was random bought of sinus tachycardia which afterseeking help i was told it's anexity. Years battling odd tachycardia during exercise or driving I started having panic attacks... after seeing cardiologist band many test i was told I have mild form of dysautonomia. .. of course that open Pandora box. Looking back after having these issues and more and many er trips I determin a few facts.. 1. Docs only want to use SSRI head meds 2. My issues are consistent however a few months of the year they are very tame. I notice in my workouts my heart rate is normal 9r even my digestion is normal but only a few months or weeks in a year. I like everything justin has to say. For a young guy he really is clairvoyant about this issue.... we have to make ever effort to tske away factors we can control. It's not easy but staying active, getting sun, and weight control sure my living life easier with this dysfunction mess we have

Congratulations on your successes! I totally agree with you about the PoTS community. I took one look at that community and just said no. I've successfully gotten lupus under control over the years and I'll be damn if I get taken down by PoTS. Thanks to your inspiration, I recently started PT and am working hard. I'm always going into the session saying Let's up the game! I'm not sure how long my insurance will cover but I hope to see you here online, and I'll see where I'm at when my insurance runs out. Thank you for showing up in my feed at the perfect time.

Sorry you had such a bad experience in the community! I find your videos helpful. I do think that using the word "recovery" is a touchy subject because some people cannot ever fully recover (not saying that it means being resigned to your fate and giving up). I like to look at it as "restoring some functioning". I have severe POTS and faint multiple times a day even after PT, eating clean and whole foods, meds, and exercising. But it has restored some of my functioning and lowered my symptoms from a 9/10 to a 7/10 which is some type of "recovery" for me. But also acceptance that things may not ever go back to normal has helped as well- helps me feel less down. Keep up the great content! I love seeing your perspective- especially the advice about not worrying too much about heart rate when exercising.

Thankyou so much for this! I've been mentally really struggling lately & when I've been looking for others with POTS to inspire me ive found quite the opposite, it's refreshing to see some inspiration 🫶 I'm a big believer in the law of attraction and I'm trying to improve my life for months now I thought i had to just lay there & accept it for what it is but I've had enough now Im willing to put in the effort & better my life I'm also a small content creator, You really deserve more subscribers, what an amazing person!

Since you’re a male and POTS affects a great percentage of women…. Did you run into issues getting diagnosed? I’m just starting this process with my 22 year old son. I’m thinking it’s possibly misdiagnosed among males a lot.

Yes it can be. I came down with it 2 years ago, it took me about 6 months to get a diagnosis. I would stay on it, try to see cardio and neuro and get referral to autonomic testing as soon as possible. Had I not done that, it would’ve been longer. My pcp noticed and arrhythmia that started it, but thought it was anxiety. Gave referral to cardio who confirmed arrhythmia and tachycardia and was able to set up the testing 👍🏼

Yes it was a big process lol. I was told anxiety 1mil times. After researching it - Probably because the majority population that gets it is young women. Since the cough, I think that has changed
