Finally finished my first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 and the credit song The Power had a very profound effect on me. Playing it on the piano has been one of the most rewarding experiences since possibly Melodies of Life. The entire BG3 soundtrack is just fantastic but this has got to be my favourite. Lots of elements here can also be found in Down by the River, so perhaps I'll cover that one soon as well...

I know for a fact that like half the people that listen to this just got sucked into this and remembered all the absolutely amazing times they had in their first playtrough with their friends. I was doubtful a ''modern'' game could be this good anymore but larian managed to change my mind. Cant wait for their next game. In the words of Tav: Is that blood? No... nevermind.

This game got me through my year student teaching. Watching in-game characters play the song is what convinced me to play the game and it helped keep me afloat during some of the most chaotic months of my life. Now, six months later I'm closing in on the end of the year. Seems fitting that this would be the song I listen to as I submit my final project to the university. Except now, the song has grown and developed and taken on a new meaning for each person who's played the game, an aspect you conveyed beautifully in this cover.
