Honestly I'm not sure how I let it slip me by for this long! I think there's a good chance I buy a second box once this series is done just to crack into for myself to build some fun decks!

I'd say either ex3 and 2 for more gallantmon, or you could open some starters and try to build something. There's also bt5 for wargrey/blackwargrey and garuru X, and bt11 for ulforce and blackwargrey.

I had such a blast with EX3 that I can assure you that I'll be opening more of that for sure 😂 I've still got some BT11 that I might keep on theme to last time and have that as my prize packs, I'm not sure what I'm exactly looking for in that set but the sheer fact it's a strong set of cards is generically good. Might try and fit in another set in there but I'm waiting to see some reactions from you lovely commenters 😅

The Purple/red Gallantmon player at my locals runs a few of the ST-7 Geogreymon and it is a nightmare for imperial. It plays itself from security and on play allows you to pop a 4000 dp or less. This is great as it punishes one of imperials best lines (Exvee swing > Sting > Jogress > Dragon > Jogress) As for packs I think it has to be EX-02 or EX-03 but I’d lean towards more EX-03 I think. I think Gallantmon/Megidramon mill is incredibly good vs imperial as they are looking for their lvl 4’s and you can almost win alone by trashing them. Really think this is a turning point in the series and fingers crossed this can bring the scores within touching distance. Keep up the great work I really enjoy this series.

Oooo ST7 Geo is a tasty suggestion. I really like the sound of it, I'll have to play around with the numbers and see how many I can fit in there next episode. I can really see that helping when I know I'm gonna be playing imperial

@@ProfessorsResearch It’s honestly insane how much tempo you get when they hit it. Another underrated part is the mental aspect. It suddenly becomes a lot more dangerous to swing with Jamming Exveemon before going for your Jogress plays. This is usually be enough to give you the time to build into Gallantmon in the back and take control of the game. As an imperial player I really hate this card and think it makes an already tough matchup almost impossible when you see it in security.

16:56 Kevin did not play that turn as well as he coul have. He forgot to use Ken&Davis' effect to gaim 2 memory at the start of his maim phase. He also cou have attacked security with Paildrampn to unsuspend again and draw 1 and then use HPD to go into dragonmode and play megadeath to choke at 1.

Idk if anyone said it yet, so I'm sorry if you already know, but ex3 growlmon has a mistake in its text, it should be when digivolving not on deletion. Also, in terms of creativity, it's probably a horrible idea but if you're interested, ex3 growlmon being purple opens up the option of running ex3 dinobeemon and paildramon as a mini jogress engine, all you need is some purple effects that draw and trash cards in your hand, stuff like eyesmon scatter mode from bt7, and if you have enough you might be able to get one of paildramon or dinobeemon in your trash to play when jogressing the other. Having a free level 5 from trash could be good, and since you got the secret rare imperialdramon you might even be able to, if you're lucky, have a dragon mode and fighter mode to use as a strong attack. Again, maybe not a good idea, idk, but you can't deny that it's creative

Omg I had totally forgotten about the 20 odd cards that got erratas in EX3... yeah 100% didnt know I played Growl wrong, will make sure to address that next episode 🤦‍♂️

more ex-03 next week? see if you can get the purple/ red imperial deck together or even the examon (1 ulforce st deck gives you 4x of the dracomon dramon searcher). Pulls were pretty bonkers in general, just the alt art exa is sweet ^^

Oh damn that's good to know about the ulforce deck, I've been wanting more memory boosts anyway so this can serve two purposes. I'll have to start looking around to see if anywhere has good deals on the deck.

@@ProfessorsResearch Obviously look at your locals first but if they don't have em and seeing that your uk based, i picked up 2 copies of the ulforce deck online form zatugames real cheap just for the memory boosts recently. Could be worth the look in future if you do manage to find the examon pieces. Think the security coredramon is there at 4 copies as well.

Just to clarify for the future but I’m pretty certain that with Dinobee’s effect the digimon has to be suspended by the effect to stun. Unlike most other effects that do this it specifically says ‘That digimon’ linking it to the first effect. And due to you not being able in digimon to officially suspend an already suspended digimon you can’t do the first part meaning the second half can’t trigger. I could be wrong but I think it would be good to double check now that your between games. Either way loving the series and it has even inspired me and my friends into doing our own sealed league which has been a blast.

Will definitely check that ruling, I will also have to watch the video back as I cant remember exactly how we ruled it. Really awesome you started youre own sealed games with a friend though! Its been great for Kevin and I just to find an excuse to play. Being UK/Canada based it can be easy to not play enough but this has been great.

Haha I thought about it but I hesitate for a similar reason that I havent jumped into Mastemon. Ive never really played Purple and even with a strong deck I worry I would misplay so hard that I throw the match anyway. Always something to keep in the tank for sure!

Whilst you did pull an examon it is a secret rare so l doubt you will get a aother one quickly. Honestly I feel like gallant is such a good counter to the imperial deck but if Kevin runs back on to jessmon you might a little trouble. Since trashing his sistermon is just good for him. Armors are possible but you would need to open alot of BT8 to make it viable. Maste hard looses to both of his decks (I run it a locals and it's my least favourite match up) so i wouldn't try that. That pull of chaosdramon is interesting though.How are your machine and cyborg pulls? If you go back into ex3 for gallent related stuff and pull chaosdramon it might be worth it if you have any bt11 machindramon and analogmans

Yeah I'm not 100% sure Kevin will stick with Imperial, even if it's just to catch us off guard, but then again it was a close week so he can easily still take a win with the DNA nonsense! I'll have to check the machine pulls but I don't think anything stands out, some stuff from EX1 is all I can remember really.
