When I heard "Hard to Handle" for the first time in 1990, I ran right out and bought The Black Crowes' debut album "Shake Your Money Maker". It didn't disappoint, and I wore it out. This song was also on that album, as was "She Talks to Angels", which you've already reacted to. You really need to do "Jealous Again", also off that album. Other great tracks off subsequent albums include "Thorn in My Pride", "Sting Me", "Hotel Illness", and "Good Friday". Can't go wrong with this band. While I'm at it, I'd like to recommend another band with a similar vibe that I think you will love, that being Candlebox. "Far Behind" would be a great place to start.

Speaking of "rabbits"...saw the Black Crowes years ago with Planet Drum, Ratdog and Arlo Guthrie. Every artist joined the others in stage at various points. But the highlight was when one of the Crowes backup singers sang "White Rabbit" and obliterated the crowd 😱

I just saw these guys in concert in South Florida 2 weeks ago. They still kick ass. One reason Chris can probably still sing very well at age 55 is because the two brothers (Chris the singer, Rich the guitarist) were always fighting and the band was broken up for years. Probably saved his voice. Was a great concert. They are a band where, even if you don't know the words or the songs, the music and vibe is just great that it doesn't matter, you are still having fun and enjoying it.

You’ve mostly only heard songs off their first album & believe me you haven’t even seen how hard they can rock out, how amazing Chris can sing, Marc Ford’s guitar genius etc. They are a band you guys will LOVE if you just dive into them more. It was the first song I ever heard from them, and I swear, the first time I heard it, during the spring semester of my freshman year in college, I thought The Faces (Rod Stewart's old band) had gotten back together. The first time I ever heard this song was in 1984 in Navy boot camp when my company Commander was cycling us, but we were lucky enough to have company Commanders , which are the equivalent of drill sergeants in the navy, who would actually be cool enough to play music whenever they made us exercise a lot. To complete your Black Crowes quadrology you absolutely have to do a reaction to "Hard to Handle". That song will blow your mind and was probably their second highest chart-topping single

As many others just like myself, I listen to huge amounts of music, it's my 2nd best friend, it doesn't me questions, it never judges me and without thought it gives me everything I need. KZbin is like a universe that goes on and on and we just keep exploring to find new things. I came across both of you a couple of weeks ago, can't remember which song it was, myst have been a favourite of mine as that's one reason I subscribed to you and started listening to your views on what I consider great tracks from various artists. There are a few duo's doing what you're doing and have viewed a few of them. Something about you two that keeps me interested enough to hear your opinions, it's refreshing and you say it with such feelings and enjoyment, great to see. Black Crowes. Super band, great vocals from Chris, never a break in the song, quality. Just a bit of food for thought. You may have done but haven't seen it so, "Dry County" By Bon Jovi is one epic song for your super collection of some mind controlling sounds. X

They were truly the shot in the Arm to Southern Rock and Rock that was needed at the time they came out Rockin in the latter 80's. Great song! Nice to see you getting into the Crowes. My favorite would be "My Morning Song". It just rocks. "Wiser Time" and "Descending", which are back to back on Amorica are truly great songs as well. Cheers!
