Ken Girardin is an engineer who has been researching and writing about energy policy issues in New York for over a decade. In this episode, Ken talks about his new report for the Empire Center, Green Guardrails, which found that the state’s Climate Act could cost taxpayers $4.9 trillion by 2050, the soaring cost of the offshore wind projects, land-use conflicts, and the “absolutism” that is driving much of the state’s climate policy. In re 41:05, it is _not_ 'the state is willing to be extorted.' The problem is the state being more than willing to serve as the conduit for facilitating the extortion of the citizenry.

I don't think the other NY policies have helped very much either. Having to use the national guard to uphold public safety is rarely a good thing. It seems like the NY's stupidity goes across the whole spectrum.

I listened to the episode without seeing the video. At times I thought I was listening to Michael Knowles, their voices are very similar.
