This Imago therapy, for me brings to mind, Adam Sandler’s words in “The Wedding Singer”; “Well I have a microphone and you don’t. So you will listen to every damn word I have to say!!!!” Damn right! Back in the 2000’s I used to hear some couples say lovingly how they finish each other’s sentences. That may be cute in the beginning, but that can wear thin pretty fast if the other partner doesn’t let off the gas with the interrupting, because that’s all it really is. I can finish my own sentence thank you! Lol. Sometimes I may interrupt people at work when they are giving me directions because I am jacked up on caffeine and can’t pump the brakes. With someone I truly respect, I’m better behaved. I let them talk and try to comprehend what they are saying. I don’t always get it; hence my ADD, but I am listening the best I can at the moment. When people just cut in on another person talking, it’s so rude and ignorant. It can really grind my gears when people just do it to be arrogant.
