Welcome to my writing vlog. I’ve been writing for years and it's an endless source of comfort. I take inspiration from nature, slow living, and travel. I talk about my childhood in Nigeria and how that inspired my writing and books. Watch my musings and see what inspires me as a writer and how I live.

This is so beautiful made. I agree: reading books and understanding the stories helps make the world a better place. Trained imagination shapes us into more understanding beings. Greetings from Germany!

The thinness of the pages! Yes it’s truly an injustice, this state of things, but you know what else this made me think of? The alternate richness of aural/ oral storytelling cultures…I wonder what we miss out on … there’s my FOMO again 😂

how do you organise all your loose papers? where do the loose papers go in the end? Do you have some archives or do you re-write them on a computer and throw away the papers eventually? how do you do it? I love to find a good organisation in my chaos... I can write and forget where I wrote it.... was it in an iPad? in a Bullet Journal, in my electronic Bullet Journal, or was it a sketchbook I suddenly turned into a poem book? my god... I can't remember it..., and suddenly I find it in notes on an old iPhone. Ok! .... I found I had written a whole 15-minute short film on an iPhone from 2013 in a cafe for an audition for a film school. It was about a revolution of a character who was bullied by his dad and all the doctors he was sent to for having very long and narrow feet where no shoes ever worked, and the father was an orthopaedic surgeon who said everything was wrong about the boy, he could only see the medical problems with the child and never the actual amazing person behind his son. One day the boy found barefoot shoes in a second-hand store, he had never heard of such shoes before..., he got them on and began to run, his feet began to grow, his feet began to expand and so did the boy, year after year he ran around his area, made friends, new connections, new networks, everyone saw him, and everyone followed his journey from a boy that could hardly walk straight to a boy that ran faster than everyone and all in his barefoot shoes and his ever expanding feet, he had found his path. At the end of the movie in my old iPhone, he became known in his whole area and began to teach everyone else how to be free and just run and everyone began to run with him, and so their feet, their lives, their souls began to expand to and the whole area began to expand and grow and share their life stories with one another, and their whole community began to thrive in creative ways no one had ever seen before. Ways far beyond just the feet we stand on but for the whole of a better community... I did get into that film school that year, but I had forgotten about this story,... there it was, in an old iPhone from 2013 down in my basement, in a box of all kinds of old phones. I apparently made a box with every phone I ever had, so it was like 23 phones down there from the early 1990s.... I wonder what more stories might hide within the apps and notes of each and every phone I forgot about I once had with me, that I once wrote in wherever I went. I truly have no organisation, I could not even remember they were there before I began a huge spring cleaning of my basement, I have lived in five countries in my life and left Sweden as a young contemporary dancer when I was 19 in the '90s for New York, and since then I have collected old phones from all over the world, all with a story inside. and years later I found it and am so surprised I was thinking and writing the way I did back then! but I do need to learn to organise.. otherwise, all my stories will be lost in boxes of boxes of storage rooms of places where I once lived around the world... I just remembered I have three boxes left in a friend's house in Washington D.C. from 2001, a time when I was a student during my B.A. in Journalism. ... I wonder if he kept them, I wonder where he lives today, he was a Chinese in exile living in America. I wonder what stories lie within them now? Organisation is key, I have none, where to start? Love your voice, is an anti-depressant and makes me wanna write again. thank you!

Thank you so much for this lovely comment. I organise my loose papers in folders. As you know I write most of my words by hand so it is extremely important to be able to access certain parts of what I've written. Try folders or files they are a big help.

@@thefantasystoryteller thanks, yes.. I am like, Spring Cleaning, out my life this period… is way more than zi ever could have imagined that I written …. I will go look in a store for better folders and maps next week. Love to see a video of how you organize loose papers and how you quickly later on access them again when needed. Maybe you can think of making a video about organization of one’s writings .., Thanks and keep your great content coming!
