Thank you for sharing your journal collection! There is nothing sad about loving beautiful journals - every writer I know (including me) geeks out over stationery. I adore the journals with the hot air balloons; I've been using the peacock journals by Rifle Paper Co. lately, and they are kind of the same style as your journals with the hot air balloons.

Wow as a writer and multi award winning poet of more than two decades, I am so glad that I just found your channel and I agree wholeheartedly with content. In order for me to write well, I have to read well ie literature diet and watching my genre intake. Imposter Syndrome for me is a constant shadow, the carriage of internal mayhem allowed to grow organically from vine to vine or as it is chapter to chapter. I discovered quite intensely that in order for me to think well, overall I walk up to 40 kilometres plus per week. Walking clears the mental cobwebs and for the most part solidifies some mind bending creative narrative. So much so I have to jot thoughts down as soon as I am back home in the front door. As well I find your writing room very inspiring. I live for walking, reading, writing. I don’t smoke or vape, detest the thought of gambling my hard earned dosh and found alcohol once upon a time to be a total thief of creativity and bore. Work on what you believe in. Believe in your work. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Yvette, 😊

Hello Yvette, Walking does clear the mind and nature in general. I'm surprised more people aren't out in nature jotting ideas down. Sadly reading has also declined steadily and it's heartbreaking to see. Thank you for such lovely compliments 😊

Quick question, I love to write in cursive too since I was trained in it in school. But then... do you really convert all of this to typing? I guess you have to right? In today's day and age? Or is the cursive stuff just for your ownself or private projects after your paid work (which I'm assuming in 2024... has to be typed)? Thank you! Glad I came across this video!
@thefantasystoryteller4 күн бұрын
Yes I write everything all down first as it is much easier for me and then I type it all up. Some find it tedious but I'm more immersed in the story when writing.

Your handwriting looks stunning! Do you have any tips for people who experience hand pain when writing a lot by hand? Thanks a lot and keep up the great work 🌸
@thefantasystoryteller21 күн бұрын
Hello. I don't experience hand pain. It might have to do with the type of pen you're holding, the manner in which you're holding it and so on. I'd say get used to comfortably holding a pen and write for short sprints gradually building up.

3:39 reminded me of an author i studied in university who was seen by everyone as rude because they would talk to him or even go out to lunch and, if he got an idea, he would just open his little notebook and write it down, it didn't matter if someone was talking or not hahaha maybe not the best way to handle it socially but hey, it clearly works!

You are on a path that is very difficult for others to follow. you are forced to write, expecting no benefits , if not, you will fall sick. Nature is pushing you hard coz it trust you more and finds you as the medium to speak about things that are subtle and deep. Trust your spirit and hold the pen. There are more characters waiting in the dark to find expressions through you.

Thank you for your amazing insight. What I got from this video is that a negative change arc can be just as effective as a positive one, especially if the characters' experiences, background and emotions are fully explored. It's true that people don't always overcome their wounds. Sometimes, they get worst instead of getting better. It's worth keeping in mind if I ever go back to writing again.
