How heartwarming, Shloime; thank you for sharing this! At the end of the day, we are all human and unforeseeable situations arise. Human kindness, including that of strangers, is more valuable than any material wealth.

Years ago in business an orthodox man we did work for was know for being very shrewd....anyways he once offered my partner & me a deal, it seemed too good so based on what we heard (not what we knew) we passed it up. It turns out it would have been the greatest deal, he was trying to give 2 young businessmen a favorable deal. Better than the deal, I have a life lesson to never listen to gossip & do a favor for others, to trust unless someone actually gives you true reason to not. That lesson is worth more and has served me far more than what my then business partner and I would have profited.

If you own a cat, back it up every 10 seconds. And as a southerner, I expect what you get from your community from most of the people in mine and its usually returned. Everyone in the south is so nice and now we are all from so many backgrounds. Most of the time, if you have high expectations from people, they will strive to meet them. People are essentially good everywhere in the world. Basically, just do what you can to always make others smile and anything you can possibly do to make their day easier.

Glad this turned out well! Reminding you and your audience to rethink backup and data security strategies is the most important aspect of this experience, in my opinion. Losing a laptop must not have such an impact on your life, it happens all the time. Encrypt all your devices, back up all your data, always. Most people actually know that, but need a painful wake-up call to actually do it. (So did I, many years ago.)

I'm so happy the laptop was found! Even better the lesson on helping others. I'm one of the last living people from my family. I love helping and doing things for others. I get to do it! Not I have to do it. If I'm helping someone. That person will be the most important one on earth, till what needs to be done, is finished. A Jewish store owner in the small town I'm from. Helped my Great Grandmother. She had four children,and was expecting the faith child when her husband died. He helped her by giving her work. Also when he had to remove certain food Levin ect. from his home, they would take it to my Great Grandmother to keep for them. THEN say they didn't need it, and give it to her. She also cooked for them on Friday? This was all all a very long time ago. Before I was born. The world would be a horrible place with out Jewish people.

In Israel it is common to have WhatsApp groups for everything. Our community group helps people looking for tradesmen or a displaced woman from the south looking for a place to stay. Every residential building has a group. Every school class. Yes, it definitely makes a difference. BTW, most of the time when we mess up, it's because we are tired, stressed or in a hurry. Use phlorescent sticky notes to remind yourself!

Shloime, this was a lesson I learned a long time ago; only buy very conspicuous colors for things like wallets, bags, phones or phone covers, gloves etc. Most car seats are black, many surfaces are dark, and black objects are very easy to miss, especially when you’re rushing to catch a flight, leaving an Uber etc. You’re wearing a red shirt - I typically go with red. Nice message otherwise.

Shalom Shloime, I agree about backing up your files. The best thing to do is host all of your files remotely in the cloud on a secure remote storage like Tresorit and not on your laptop itself. Keeping your laptop and Tresorit drive password protected. If your laptop is ever lost you can revoke access to any device and access from any device, Phone, Alternate PC/Laptop, Tablet etc...

Achi please we also kind of suffer when you pass through stressful situations, try to avoid them. Of course HaShem can help us in those moments but I heard that it's not recommendable to say the least to count on nissimm. How come! To go and travel with your main laptop??? Usually one has a main desktop pc and you go with a secondary machine, in USA internet connections are of the most advanced in the world, you can put a tunneling service which is included in windows so you can access your lan wherever you are when travelling. Today it's all cloud based, there are softwares for mounting a home cloud storage.😢

When you return a car they go through a very heavy cleaning process, zero chance they would miss it, maybe a worker would steal it, but no way they wouldnt see it, you think they want to give out an unclean car,?,,come on Schmulick.....
@ShloimeZionce11 ай бұрын
I’ve watched the process. Depends on the rental location. In many cases, if the car is not extremely dirty they just put it back out on the lot.

You are so adorable. 🕎 I loved your Giants tailgate video. Can you help Counter Missionaries by doing a "There Is No Isaiah 53 Conspiracy" Campaign? Considering what CHAZERAI they are putting up at Columbia! The NOAHIDE movement is growing.( There's A Real Noahide show out of Texas, not Mess-ianic) Anti-Jewish Attitudes might go down significantly if we could tackle these Modern Myths: Isaiah 53 Conspiracy, The Psalm 22 Myth, The Psalm 110 Myth and the Yehoshua, Yeshua means JOSHUA situation. Pretty please? 🕎 I think that the Rebbe wanted Chabad to do more for True Noahide Education, not just send them to Mess-ianic "Fellowships" (Churches)🕎

EVERYONE YOU CONTACT! yes, for us, this includes those that want to wipe us off the map. even so, i don't think we're to just roll over. but that leads to a soapbox i won't get on right now. thank Hashem for those who understand what neighbor means.
