A very insightful interview and so well-spoken. I think Simon is not only a musician but also a bit of a poet in the way he expresses himself with good use of images and language. As a musician, I enjoyed Simon speaking of his own practices of developing music, such as musicians spending a set amount of time each day on music, even if it's only a short time, and limiting themselves with the number of tracks when they're recording. Towards the end, I found fascinating, Simon's reflections on AI and his awareness of its impact on the music industry and life in general. Being a SC-FI-er myself, AI sounds like so many books I've read, but Simon is right. We are now in it and need to be aware. Like Simon, I've been concerned about AI too. But Simon turned it on its head, reminding us all that AI only regurgitates what's already out there. What artists can do is create something out of nothing, bringing together things that don't go together. Then, as the interviewer suggested, we shift from being influenced by AI to being the influencers. Well worth listening to. Thank you
