I just want to say I love your channel and the value you bring. I started watching you to learn songs from Inside Llewyn Davis and haven't stopped since.

I really appreciate you taking the time and sharing such positive feedback. Those Llewyn Davis lessons really helped put my channel on the map, I can't believe it's been 10 years since that film debuted!

I have barely explored alternative tunings. I miss out on the blues. I know. It's (for now) out of my comfort zone. I'll pull out my old parlor and try. Thank you Rob, for keeping up the fruitful lessons.🎶🎶🎶

Glad you're enjoying this. I haven't used DADGAD much, so this was a fun learning experience for me as well.

Thank you Peggy, so glad you're digging this routine, DADGAD certainly does add an exotic, almost hypnotic flavor to your music. Have fun! -Rob

My absolute pleasure, I've never been big on open tunings, so it felt good to leave my comfort zone a bit. Enjoy your practice! -Rob

Hello Rob. Would you be able to do a lesson where you explain how the sounds change in a different tuning and how to make chords, say, in DAGDAD? What kind of harmony/chord progression do we have in this song? Thank you!

Can you do Treetop flyer by Steven Stills. I dont think its lyrical masterpiece by any means but the driving guitar in the DADGAD tuning has always been something Id like to learn.

Can you do tuning B E B E G# E? I just discovered it on a site but it seems no one made a video about it.

One of my original ideas, but I’m not sure if it will ever make its way into a song. Thanks for your interest!

This is a great lesson but it is very unfortunate that you use the “old” string names. Makes it incomprehensible to someone like me who just knows the positions DADGAD. What a shame that you would call strings by a name that they’re not! And you do it so much, makes it nearly unusable for me!
