@@jasonshih3633 I would say she is worse than other agents in same role, since her kit does not provide as much value. Her wall is subjectively worse than Sage wall, her sensors are very situational and can't properly cover flank, her throwable is good, can be powerful with lineups, worse than Sage orbs on defense. Her ult is very strong. On most maps you need to have either Killjoy or Cypher and if you were to pick Deadlock, one of these sentinels should be picked too. Sage is imho better on maps like Bind, Split, Icebox and other 4 maps should have Killjoy or Cypher. Breeze, Sunset are Cypher maps, Ascent, Sunset are more Killjoy, so if these agents are in your comp, Deadlock will probably be ok. Especially Cypher Deadlock combo on Ascent can be very strong with some prep as shown in pro scene in 1 match. Should be worse in soloq, but I suggest to watch the match, if I remember correctly TMV did analysis on that (match between KBG and NIP). If you are sentinel main, strongly suggest to play Cypher/Killjoy and if they are taken, occasionally fill Deadlock on those 4 maps.

@@jasonshih3633 Oh then I went too deep into meta comp thing xD. When you are just learning the game, it is totally ok to play who you liked, don't be bothered by who is better. There are some agents that will make you learn game faster, like Omen or Jett, but before you learn maps, utils, common callouts and maybe some macro, like faking, rotating, rush, default etc, just pick one you liked and stick to it so that you will pay less attention to util and more to how games go and how your or enemy team wins. If you are going to main sentinel, just make sure to not get too passive, otherwise it will turn into a bad habit, which is most frequent issue for sentinels. Especially Cypher mains after feeling the taste of kill trips, will be sitting on cams and do their best in staying out of game/ avoid gunfights. I think Deadlock is much better in this sense, cause her useful util is not bound to certain location.

@@jasonshih3633 I forgot to mention the reason why sentinel mains with strong util become passive. Just in case if you decide to main Cypher/Killjoy, so you will be ready to notice some patterns. So a way to become better with Cypher or Killjoy is to learn good setups. These preparations are singlehandedly able to rank you up couple ranks (especially low elo) and you will be competing against stronger opponents (so called inflated mmr). Usually your setups will start winning you defence rounds, but due to rank difference, you will lose most of your gunfights. Since you are getting aim diffed, you will start to hide from fights and sit on site and be late on rotations. Sometimes people will spend even more time learning setups in hope that it will make them win more, but you should always work on weaknesses and in most cases lack of setups is not an issue for sentinels. Best solution is to force yourself play duelist and lose ranks but become better in gunfights and get more confident.

Just Imagine the last Enemie Player trying to defuse the spike on side just to see 2 walls, 2 cypher traps, 2 deadlock stuns,1 chamber alarm bot, KJ alarm bot+ turret and while he get trough everything he gets no time do defuse.
