This is a short meditation to sit an intention for the new year.
Our contemplation is based on this passuk from Massechet Yoma
אָדָם מְקַדֵּשׁ עַצְמוֹ מְעַט מְקַדְּשִׁים אוֹתוֹ הַרְבֵּה.
A specific translation suggested here:
"A human being who sanctifies (dedicates) themselves a little, they are sanctified a lot."
Yoma 39 a. ל״ט
The idea is that sometimes just doing a small step can go a long way.
As long as we take the first step.
If we dedicate ourselves just a little, we can receive so much.
What do you want to dedicate yourself for in the new year?
Feel free to share in the comments.
