The easiest way to understand npd is these people are emotionally arrested toddlers in adult bodies. They never grew up emotionally so they learn tactics to cover up the fact “ they are not adults “ if you pay close attention and observe their behaviors are very childlike. The trap is you will find yourself trying to parent these people , narcissism is formed in the formative years , those days are long gone. You will never have an adult relationship with them . That's why they love bomb in the 1st place and then keep up the cycle of hoovering it all comes down to the 5 chemicals oxytocin, dopamine, serotonin, cortisone, adrenaline and noraprinapine our brains are hooked on those. Dr Carolyn Leaf a world leading well respected Christian Neuroscientist who studies the brain said we actually have 2 brains, 1 in our mind and 1 in our heart and they have to be taught by us how to work in our favour, because they don't unless trained properly by ourselves. Narcissists know all about those chemicals and that is what gets us addicted to them. That's why they then ghost, breadcrumb, gaslight, triangulate, grey rock. It actually is FUN when you know all this information and don't tell anyone else because your ahead of their plans now!. Healthy relationships won't love bomb you so they take longer to establish and seem a bit boring but you don't get addicted to them. Now that is real love. I hear you and understand. At year fifteen I went through the Dark Night Of The Soul. This man almost killed me with multiple discards. Took 10 years to renew my mind through the word of God. The last 5 years was total reintegration of my authentic self. Lastly I became indifferent and set hard boundaries. I warned him and he didn’t listen. I left finally after he gaslighted me when I saw a picture of his girlfriend on my daughters phone. To this I thank God it happened the way it did. I left and I am taking one day at a time. @Life lessons what's cool is that after having had to deal with a couple of these, and I mean deal, I really got into this subject myself for a long time. By the time I discovered the pastor, he put the final spit shine on my understanding of these entities (including JEZEBEL spirit. They are everywhere, work, community, everywhere!) Now I recognize them right away. My mind starts telling me about them before I realized I was even paying attention. I hear words like principalities, Vex my spirit, clown smile, Etc. Before I even realize it, I'm strategizing how not to have to speak to them. I start analyzing they're bullying behavior and I can tell that they want to pick a fight, and I specifically never give it to them because I can see them coming now. We are not made of the same stuff, coming from the same place, or going to the same place. I am exactly clear on that, and so grateful to have reached that level of discernment. There are so many of them, and I know immediately when they Vex my spirit (got that term from the pastor). It is so exciting to be able/willing to identify them before it even gets started. What's even more fascinating is that I don't think they know that you know what they are. They are completely oblivious. They think they are omniscient. It's so crazy. They mistake you being a gray rock for being dumb. I think that's perfect. Like the pastor says (in effect/substance), "yeah, think that. I'm dumb, Super Dumb! God bless you. Have a nice life! Bye!"

Jean Marie Rock as an empath i can relate to you. What works for me, is that i became aware of how narcissists drain others especially empaths. So i learned to cut and energetically block whatever tentacle they try to attach to me in the form of words, actions and behavior in an effort to become relevant or to get a reaction. Be prepared to be ridiculed and accused of not being friendly or a team player if in a work setting. Whatever they say, do or launch a smear campaign, do not engage or explain your behavior and continue to be pleasant and happy.

Ross Rosenberg has a video on KZbin that helped me with the indifference. Just like you said, they want that emotional reaction from you. He said to put on your “lab coat” and observe the narcissist’s behavior as if you were studying them. It’s called the “observe don’t absorb” technique. You are right ! You have to be indifferent to their toxic behavior. So glad you are concentrating on this. I changed my ex-husband’s name in my phone to “observe don’t absorb” so that I am reminded (if I ever hear from him) of the technique right away.

A. Quick Gray Rock is when you show absolutely no reaction to their nonsense or do not react in any way to the games that they play and the things that they say, that may have triggered a reaction from you in the past. You just “YES” them to death, remain expressionless/emotionless, uninteresting and boring (like a plain old GRAY ROCK) and ignore what they say. Act indifferent to them and their nonsense. Believe me, it works. They will quickly remove themselves from your life and move on to someone who is giving them the reaction that they crave and seek. They don’t care about us. It’s all about feeding an internal void because they are emotionally empty and emotionally insecure. They “NEED”and seek validation from outside sources in order to function and in order to “FEEL” relevant. The reaction that we provide, fills that void and gives them what they are lacking, TEMPORARILY ( Emotional Security-which btw, will never be enough to satisfy them bcz that emotional void is sooooo deep and bottomless) NEVER REACT...

Good word, pastor!! You are right! It took me going to counseling after I got a divorce from him because he was so confusing to me. These people are kids in adult bodies and selfish and they lack empathy. I appreciate you being a man of God and telling people especially women to get out of situations like this. I had some church people condemn me for divorcing my ex. I was told by my ex and other church people that I had no biblical grounds for leaving him. He was verbally, emotionally and mentally abusive before I left him. He started getting physical, pushing me and telling me I owed him and I wasnt going anywhere, God doesnt want me leaving him. I found out he was a porn addict and host of other things. It angers me when church folks condemn and tell people especially women to stay with nut jobs like this. I am glad and happy I got divorced. It was the first step to loving myself again.

@@dainty_des Dont feel that way. We as women will ignore red flags because of several reasons. I ignored them because he had a sad story (grew up in a foster home) and I felt bad for him. I thought I could "love" him through his pain. I was wrong. If I look back on it now, the devaluing started early on. The ghosting after only a month of dating and popping back up. Using me for my money, controlling. My self- esteem took a big hit but then out of nowhere, I started getting emails from a site called "Quora" that talked about narcissism. I had no idea about the subject. I know in my heart that was GOD showing me what I was dealing with. It all made sense after reading those emails and I began to search for more answers. That's how I ended up on this youtube channel. I have made several attempts to go no contact and have slipped a few times. It's a battle but each day I get better. I recently discarded a narc, and if I have to describe the experience I would say it was like a horror movie on repeat and the credits would never come signifying the end. This woman was so manipulative that she almost made me override what I felt in my spirit by trying to use fear to make me believe the person she pretended to be... I went with it for a little while but I just couldn’t take the torture anymore feeling like I was being deceive... I lost sleep didn’t eat much etc, anytime I would express how I felt she would lash out, she would begin to devalue me, but when I said enough is enough I discard her, and then the threats came, saying if I didn’t return everything she bought me on special occasions that this and that would happen... so I mailed everything back and in my mind I’m thinking everything is over... then 2 days later I get a call then a text saying “I called by mistake” I didn’t respond then 7 hours after that I got another text that she won a prize at a theme park we was suppose to attend then she saids sorry didn’t mean to text you that.... but I realized the more I ignored the more she would try different tactics... I use to GO COMPLETELY OFF and she knew which buttons to press but now I no longer respond and it’s injuring her.. it’s hard for me because I have a big heart and care so much for people I feel sorry for her... but after enduring the hell i truly understand the saying “if loving you is wrong then leaving you is right”.....pray for me I’m in the healing phase now

It's so hard when it's your mom! I've accepted it and tbh, I don't want anything to do with her unless she changes (which I doubt). It's too much dealing with her and my siblings, nieces/nephews (the entire family operates under her system). I'm family scapegoat and I've always felt so alone even in the family as if I'm in the wrong family. So I know this stuff first hand from experience. Most therapist don't understand. It's hard to find a good one.

The manipulation was something i was surprised abt bit he was so comfortable i couldnt believe i allowed myself to become involved with this person. I'm here as well because a narc feels insecure in my presence and has literally created a group of people to come against me that I don't even know. They have done so much to me. At some point I cried but I'm at the point where I just watch them in disbelief of how they move. The first move against me was humiliation that didn't work so they tried getting me removed while I was a temp. Pastor Blake's, my ex narc bf was very irrational. He projected things on me that he did & was doing. Once he said I slept with his best friend. At the time he was sleeping with our future landlord's sister just to get a home because his credit was bad. I told him that if I slept with his best friend then I slept with his father too just to prove how irrational he was being. Now, I never knew his father. He had passed 4 yrs before we even met. This fool said I knew you slept with my daddy too! That's when I woke up to how crazy & delusional he was. I was right. Found out every gf had a restraining order against him. I thank God He delivered me from that diabolical person.
