What frequency did you high pass at? For each instrument?

I hate to say, but I used my ears. I'm not going to "cop out" and leave it at that... when "using your ears" what i was listening to, was for when the source got too thin, or didn't have enough body, that's when I stopped. You can roll it back a little if you'd like. For example, on guitars, you COULD go up to 200hz, but you'll be cutting into the fundamentals of the note. Another thing I listen for is, when I'm rolling off low end on guitar, I am not listening to the guitars. More so, I'm listening to everything else that WANTS to be in the low end, listening for when the "problem" gets out of the way and the low end elements can "breathe" easier. Something to remember is that you're working on a full mix with all of the frequencies, so another element may be the leader of that frequency area, and we should let it lead and have the other elements be out of the way.
