You are the sharpest tool in the box Glyn. You probably did not think it important, if you hold down the Alt key while adjusting in the colour window the curser moves much slower allowing for finer adjustment. But I misses so much more than I have contributed. Thank you for the insight.

Thanks for the video. You really explained it in the simplest terms so I jumped onto Lightroom and tried it myself. Amazing technology and gives even more control over the photo. I've always wanted something like this in LR and now it's here! The background blur thing is also really good although it feels a bit gimmicky.

Glyn I totally agree with all of the others who appreciate the utter profundity of this simple tutorial. A question remains. How does one find the "visualize range" checkbox. I can't find this checkbox on any of the sliders or anwhere in my latest edition of ACR ver 16. Kudos on all of your excellent presentations.

Glyn, thank you for such a thorough explanation. However one thing I have been wanting so desperately is HSL adjustments in masking. I think that would be simpler in my opinion, especially with all of the AI masking that LR has now. I hope Adobe will add that option sooner or later

Hey Glyn, thank you for this video I am curious - how is this different from the Calibration slider? I guess in this case, the Point Color is like a scalpel, while the Calibration is more a general knife, while HSL is like a butcher's knife??

I used this tool for the first time two days ago and I was pretty much stunned. All the years I have been creating color luminosity masks in Photoshop and now a panel and sliders in Lightroom that takes a couple of clicks, dragging a slider or two and instantaneous isolation and manipulation of color. I have a photo I was editing of a field of yellow flowers and an old barn. The wood on the barn had some yellow in it but not the same value as the flowers. I flawlessly added saturation and luminescence to all the flowers and the barn was untouched. This was before you posted your video and I am glad you did. I now understand this powerful tool even better. Thank you.

Really good and clear demonstration of this tool. Thank you. For a long time I've stayed with Capture one because (in my view) its colour handling has been better than LR, but that advantage has really gone away I think with this development. Do you know the area that the picker selects? In C1 it tends to be "a pixel" or thereabouts and for a few images where you might have textures, or a tweed fabric for instance, that results in selecting the wrong colour. It has long needed the user to be able to select a wider area - say a 5x5 pixel average. How fine-grained is LR, can you alter the physical selection area do you know?

Hi Glyn I Know my comment is not strictly about this vlog but i need help with lens blur the thing is it simply doesn't work the "early access" button is grayed out and when you try to see if anything's changed by clicking on analyze nothing happens. Well analyze starts then after about 30 secs a box pops up saying "there was an unexpected error and your request could not be completed". To be honest I'm not very tech savvy i actually went on to Adobe forums and that simply blew my brains out laugh if you like 🤣🤣🤣. i then went onto Photoshops Camera raw and basically the same thing happened but this time a box popped up saying something like " The cant be bothered to work as it's having trouble distinguishing depth" any help and all that would be great cheers Mike Hutchinson
