I can confirm everything you say in this video. For the past 3-4 years, I've been stuck deep in my comfort zone on this downward spiral of laziness and following the path of least resistance. About half a year ago it suddenly hit me - "what the fuck am I doing with my life?". So I started making some changes, developing some habits and right now I think I've reached this upward spiral you're talking about. I constantly feel the need to explore, learn, develop, take on challenges... It's awesome.

summary: 1. excellence is not an act, but a habit 2. we are what we repeatedly do 3. waking and taking that first step of your routines, starts the momentum 4. stop trying to preserve your comfort state 5. imagine if you can execute your routines for a whole month? 6. start with a backbone of routines, then you can add on 7. consider removing negative routines as well 8. commit to doing it for multiple weeks to get your momentum (like a rocket )

As a college student i watched your how to study video and already took action on it. Watched your time management video and now this one. PURE GOLD !!!! I have 2 things that I do every single day 6-7 days a week. 1. Learn the course work and get a deep understand 2. Fitness (health body = better quality of focus) A typical day looks like this 8-10 study 10 - 3:00 - class 3:30 - 4:30 workout/yoga/stretching etc. 5 - 8 or 9 study I allow myself 1 hour of free time before bed 10 in bed My meals are quick, only 2 meals a day 2000 calories, high protein, moderate carbs, moderate fat and I usually just cook the meal and have it beside my while i do my homework, when i need a break i eat the food. Best thing i've found for studying is the pomodoro technique 25 min on, 5 min off. Hope to ace the rest of my 2.5 years and then get into Physical Therapy school and meet this guy in person one day and shake his hand for changing my life.

Wow, I felt like this video was made specifically for me! I quit working three years ago and I have been in a big slump since. I used to be very productive with my time. I had lots of responsibilities but I got them done and always made time for the things I wanted to do as well. Life was crazy busy but I made it work. But now I accomplish very little and I am disappointed in myself...that's how I found this video, searching for ways to get back on track. I love this and will be listening to it again soon and trying to implement a small schedule for myself and see how well I can stick to it. Thanks!!!

I resonate a lot with the rocket escaping earth's orbit analogy. Sometimes life feels like a constant cycle of trying to build habits but failing, so the solution to avoid that exhausting feeling is to commit all-in to pass that hard first stage, no matter what. Thanks for sharing.

So awesome! You can have tons of ideas, motivation, and plans, but they will remain ideas, motivation, and plans without execution. Change does not come from a single thought, it comes from repetition. You will lose enthusiasm, you will tire, but you have to remain consistent. It's the difference between success and failure. Be so laser focused and keep churning ahead. It's the universe's way of weeding out who's "worth it" from who isn't.

Awesome! Call me biased, but I highly recommend making a daily habit of watching my videos ;) And also a habit of re-watching them again and again as you forget the lessons very quickly without refreshers. It's not an exaggeration to say that you should be watching these videos 10 times or more to fully soak them in. The layers of understanding go very very deep on each of these concepts. This is not something you just master on one play-through.

The things you've said in this video have helped reinforce the importance of what I'm trying to do. Side note: Life being unpredictable as it is, I've found that some days my schedule just can't be followed exactly. You can't get upset about it---just do what you can & get back to it the next day.

Hey Leo, Michael here, just wanted to throw you some support. I’m doing your life purpose course so I’m going back in time to some of your earlier videos that are about getting your psychology in check. I’m not very deep in the course at all but I know getting my mental proclivities is a major aspect if not the greatest of really taking control of my life and I’m doing as much extra work as possible. Thank you for being here in my life right now, I don’t know where I would be without you. You’re an amazing person, your plan of attack in your own life is really inspiring. I’m just happy that i have somebody that I will listen because I cannot of almost anyone that I would follow in direct suggested steps. That wasn’t always the case, I played with enlightenment and omg wow, I am that I am, I feel like all the seeking I’ve done in that way finally really culminated and although I will continue with enlightenment life is also paradoxical and now I’m just addressing my life. My gift to the world is me, I give you what I am and I’m so glad I’m fucking doing it. I don’t know how long it will take me to start living out my life purpose, Nor does it matter, I’m taking baby steps. Tears run down my face just acknowledging how much this means to me. I’m so lucky to have you dude I can’t say that enough. I know I started commenting a lot out of the blue but I need you to know how important your work is, if you could wake just one person you can’t even fathom the impact of it. I am that master that I seek. Be well

You have helped me to gain clarity and see more clearly where my stumble bumbles are. I am magic but have shitty habits. Watching this I realized I am one of those people who try to start up a routine, go with it for about a week or so, and then fall back to the same old habits of laziness, procrastination and comfort. It gets even harder each time I try to go back to the goals I want to accomplish. I have been feeling depressed and most of the time feel like I'm not good at anything or can't do anything. I can't seem to hold on to a career path that gives me that “drive or passion” that most people seem to have. I know I'm only 19, but most of the time I know that I'm not really advancing in anything and keep sliding my way down the negative spiral. I keep juggling around different artistic fields, for example drawing, writing and photography and know that drawing is behind me and I would like to put photography as well behind me once I finish college, because I want to find a career path with writing but there are so many fears like, I'm not good enough, If I put photography behind me I have nothing left, my writing skills aren't that great, I'm one out of the millions of people who want to write what would make me so special. I don't know how to get out of this and put everything into action because of so much anxiety that's been building up. I have been recently watching your videos they are really helpful and motivational, but I just can't seem to get the gears going and get out of this rut.

I don' think that "Planning" (or knowledge acquisition in structure, lack of understanding in goal setting) is the stumbling block for most individuals dedicated to personal development, its the Action-taking aspect that most face the real resistance. Its difficult or almost impossible to "plan" for what emotions you would feel sometime in the future, and what unforeseen obstacles would get in your way. The "Habit Planning" or routine must address the emotions too, and account for emergencies
