I wish people on the receiving end of this sabotage start to question the people who is giving this information energy.

People are so accustomed to having access to everything sooooo when you exercise Secrecy and Privacy, they create the remaining details! Secrecy is regarding Timing...A suprise party is kept a Secret until its time!! Privacy is about Privilege....Only certain people need to know!!!

A remember a woman at work kept her personal life private, at the time I thought she was stuck up as when the team were all on their Lunch break & over sharing she was sitting quietly reading a paper or looking at her phone and you never hear her talking about anything personal with anyone just surface level conversations but looking back I wish I was more like her at the time but now I am relearning new habit of the power of keeping quiet and stop over sharing thank you for this ❤

I definitely agree with this. When new people meet me at work they always think I don’t like them because I’m not as “friendly “ as everyone else. I don’t talk to them much or seem to care about them. In reality I don’t ask questions because I don’t want to answer those questions myself. And the part about learning to do things alone. I’ll say be careful. I went into isolation for a long time and it wasn’t because of Covid, and I was just enjoying being alone then boom I no longer could stand doing things with people and I had to re learn how to get along with people when they do certain things. It’s good to enjoy your company but don’t lose touch with other human beings.

I'm having this problem now, I had a mental breakdown around 2019 that made me really retract from all of my connections, and things got worse and now I'm better but have no friends. And while I was able to come out knowing more about myself and my needs, I don't have anyone to talk to or connect or share with. But I also have a hard time finding new people to do that with because it turns out I can't stand most people. I feel like I lost my ability to be around others peacefully now that I can be with myself peacefully.

My privacy got stripped away from me this year on Instagram by family member. Plus I got targeted by co workers at my old workplace because they knew my business thanks to my manager and eventually the whole public knew my business. I’m not going to lie it hurts and I can’t believe that it happened to me. Sometimes I cry. I knew when it got on social media, people were laughing at me. My family also made up some things about me because they didn’t want to see me do well. It’s hard going out and people knows all your business. It’s extremely hard to deal with at times and I prefer to stay home. I wish I could have my privacy back again but I know I won’t get that back again. I know that people also feel uncomfortable around me so I just prefer to stay home and feel more comfortable. I wish I could get my privacy back

I even ended up hating people thinking the worst due to my privacy being riped away eventually I couldn't even talk to people outside who tried to be friendly with me I tried by all means to lie but it made everything worse cos now I ended up looking like a lier every one knew everything about me. at some point I went crazy I had to hide myself for months i removed any trace of me anywhere on social media. stayed home but eventually everytime I went outside nothing changed until I realized things I cannot control I should leave to God n move on as if nothing is being said pray more meditate more trust in yourself n let god change your spirit

Hi Lucy, I hope you’re well. I completely agree with you about the power of privacy for your own peace of mind in professional and personal settings. However, throughout the video it feels that your tips are based on general assumptions that people are mal-intentioned and simply want to dig around for information on you. Even in the comments, you’re agreeing with and liking people’s similar sentiments. When you are short and not friendly with people or willing to share anything, you raise even more red flags and end up contradicting your goal for privacy. The trick is to share very inconsequential pieces of your life in a very friendly and vivacious manner - things that make you seem like an open book without actually sharing any information of consequence. When you visibly are short or clam up with people on the assumption that they simply want information on you it seems that you’re projecting your tendencies and intentions on others. If you truly want to lead a mysterious life, convince those around you there’s nothing to be mysterious about. Anyways, just wanted to share a differing viewpoint because it seems like an echo chamber of agreement in here. All love and respect for you❤️

Thanks for this video. It's just that for me,to frequently post things on all these platforms and be able to not reveal much about self kind of compromises authenticity. Agree with you on several points, we don't have to talk about what we do as we used to do before....achieve mind-blowing things and not say a word😊😉 But question: when we answer yeah I had an amazing weekend, you know how some of our people aka black people can be nosy sometimes (it s said with love 💕) what do you answer, when they insist and say 'Oh yeah, amazing what did you do so amazing?'), what do we reply? However I recognize that when you share too much positivity about your own life, usually the deep questions stop by miracle... it like people are only interested in what is not going well for others...

Great topic! I think that a lot of people struggle with this especially if you have parents that lack boundaries and overshare a lot of things. I would love for you to give more examples on how to respond to people. usually, people ask more than one question after you give them a response and this is especially true for family. So how do you know what to say and how to respond? You also briefly mentioned not to avoid answering their questions, but I find that easier because they usually ask several follow-up questions. So how would you go about this?

I’ve has people ask me the dating/ relationship question and as of January of 2022, I tell them “I’m unavailable.” Or “I’m not looking”. “I’ve removed myself from that scene and am not looking for anything”. People seem to think it’s okay to ask that to every person, and some people may like it. I, on the other hand, do not. I’ve learned to adapt. Sometimes I have people asking for my number (I’m at work 7/10 times they ask). When I’m at work i tell them “I’m on the clock and by policies I am unable to do give my number”. When I’m off the clock. “Oh. I’m having issues with my phone and i can lose contacts even if they’re saved” or some other excuse. They write their number down and give it to me. When i get home I hide it and never really give any time of day to it, because I’m not interested. I’ll even tell them I’m not and they still persist. (Which it’s easy to shut them down sometimes when you’ve got friends that are in a relationship and ‘take you in’ when you have a situation where the other person won’t shut tf up [which i will ALWAYS respect and appreciate them and their privacy for]). Learning this way of life helps so much. Inner peace, not caring of what others think, genuinely giving yourself peace of mind and a mindset of “me first. My privacy first”, helps in such and unspeakable manner you just have to experience.

Flip the situation. Share a little then start asking back to back questions about them. People love to talk about themselves. As soon as they share a tidbit, use the topic to delve into who they are as a person. They’ll love you for wanting to get to know them and you avoid sharing your own tea. Win-win.
