I’ve personally seen and also heard about lots of persecution in the US. People losing their jobs over their beliefs or a Bible verse on their desk or social media. Parents losing their children because they refuse to gender transition them. We have street preachers arrested. We see people who are silently praying outside abortion clinics arrested and charged with prison time. It’s certainly happening here. Maybe not to the degree as other countries. I’ve experienced persecution too.

I've always figured persecution needs to involve some type of suffering like prison or torture but this makes sense too.

@ Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Matthew 5:11. Persecution comes in many forms. Exclusion, rude remarks bullying, losing your job or reputation and finances to make ends meet I think are all very valid types of persecution.

If you aren't suffering persecution, then you're NOT Living godly in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:12 King James Version 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
