You are my master. I wasted so much time trying to achieve exactly the effect you presented. Now creating drones will be fun and thanks to you I now know how to do it. Nobody presented it anywhere and I felt that every creator is hiding this secret from people. You have changed everything now and thanks to you I am back to creating what I have been dreaming about for a long time. I'm deleting everything from my channel and starting over. You showed something that shouldn't be free, but due to the fact that I've been watching you for a long time, I know that you are a good person and you want people to have the knowledge you have gained over the years and that they can develop in what they like and make their dreams come true . Thank you very much for that and I am very grateful for what you do. I am now able to do what I dreamed of. I still need to buy a patreon to have access to the rest of the knowledge and consume it with pleasure. Thank you and best regards. I'm starting a new life. Dreams come true thanks to you.

Once again a wonderful tutorial. The pacing and clarity is perfect and another great reminder of “you don’t need complicated” to create beautiful soundscapes. Ableton resonator, corpus, collision, tension…. So many wonderful sound design tools that seem to be VASTLY overlooked when looking up videos for sound design on this platform. Thank you for sharing your thought process as no matter what skill level we may be at, you can always find useful information in your videos.

I kind find most of my own motivation for my stuff on my own, but Chris just spices it up that extra notch :D. Love the simplicity of this one for beginners, nice for ppl to get the overall ideas to start getting their feet wet. Cheers!

Chris, you are a motivational god! Thanks for this video. I started out with Surge like 3 years ago because it was free and sounded good. Surge XT has become an amazing tool. Really great motivation to push me to be more creative.

Hey- thanks so much for the SPAN tip. I've been looking for a real time spectrum analyzer for use in UNIFY so I can accurately EQ sounds I'm working on. Works like a dream. I also forget that I have Paul-X available as well. Nice.

First comment on youtube ever. I am watching your channel for at least 1 year. I am owned of Imac and i was working until now with garage band. I saw a lot of things on you working in ableton and j bought it this month ( ableton intro ) that was my budget with stepic. For the people that know is that i cant load stepic on ableton because i own the cheapest version and that means i dont have extra reverb's, wavetables and other stuff. I dont know if there is a spesific video that you show us a different ways to make music without own the suite version. And i am struggling with the basics. Any tip to show us or if you have and i dont see that a video more on free. I know that i can do it with more space sounds and drone buy i am talking about modern sequence like stepic in fact that i cant load it, any help with be grateful. (My english sucks ) With all respect!

have anyone figured out, how to set up a free running LFO on VITAL? Im not talking about random startpoint or something. Every note in Vital retriggers the LFO startpoint, so you get unwanted jumps on evolving sequences (if LFO is not synchronised). S1gns of L1fe realy open the mind for new possibilitys, although im not that much on ambient. But every time i watched his viedeos, i instand start my system and have fun to explore some new ideas i gotten during watch. great work

Just switch the LFO mode from “trigger” to “sync” and that will give you an LFO that doesn’t restart! Hopefully that’s what you’re looking for. There’s also a “Sync” button on the random LFOs. Thanks for the positive comments!
